the Pro Pointer is a excellent and vital piece of equipment, after detecting an object with my metal detector and digging up the soil it is often difficult to visually locate the object this is when the Pro Pointer comes into its own in detecting.The Pro Pointer is light,portable,very durable and easy to use,it emits a clear and audible signal when near the object no matter how small the object is.The Pro Pointer has saved me countless hours of searching and i wouldn,t go detecting without it.

This is the first metal detector I have ever bought and it was purchased for my wife who is an avid geocacher. I have tried it out to get a feel for how it performs and I can thoroughly recommend this for pinpointing hard to find metal objects. This is ideal for my wife's purposes. If you are looking to cover a large area, this would be best used alongside a device designed for that role. This detector is great for pinpointing objects in a small area and is ideal in this role. It could not be simpler to use, having just one on-off button. It came with a carry bag and belt holster. It is well designed and sturdy.

This is a really nice gadget. I thought about 5 stars, which is certainly a rating I could live with, but I felt it could do with a bit more sensitivity to merit that. It may be that many of my finds are on the small size ... with objects measuring a couple of inches you wouldn't have a problem. Having said all that, it did speed up the whole process of "where in this bunch of clods is that thing?"I have also used it to find the metal framing behind my plaster board. It does this very well and saved me loads of time recently. It has a very nice feature if you find the sensitivity overwhelming when used near a lot of metal. Just power down, then power up again with the probe much nearer the target. It adjusts its sensitivity down accordingly.I really do like it, and wouldn't want to give it up now.

I knew the Garrett Pro Pointer was great value for money and it does what it say's it does , most of my fellow detectorists have one , I don't know how I managed so long without one , but I have now remedied that , an excellent detector which saves loads of time and digging .

I have an older and cheaper model (not Garrett) which is not in the same league I wish I had purchased one a long time ago.The only down side was the delivery. we were sent a txt to say when delivery was to be made and asked to confirm if that was ok. it wasnt so we txt back and asked for the next day when we would be at home but got no reply! after the last estimated day of del. had past by several days we called to ask delivery Co what had happened. we ere told it had been left in our garage we found it stuffed behind an old washing machine, if they had not told (there was no card through the door) we may never have have foung it!!!Obviously this is not the Vendors fault.

Poorly designed pin-pointerThis has a glaring design flaw, the speaker is located on the grip. What do we do when we use this thing? Dig! Digging means soil, and digging in england means wet soil, this means that it rubs straight into the speaker recess which is located on the handle section! I cant hear a bean from it now! I cant believe nobody mentions this?not waterproofany security lanyard attachments require battery paddingspeaker located on handle?!OverpricedGarrett need to rethink this thing, seriously, if you intend on digging though any kind of mud, you need to pass this up!

Works well in all conditions, and very accurate. Saves time searching as it's quick to use. The pouch with loop that comes with the product makes it easy to keep on your belt or finds bag strap. Good battery life as well. Wipes clean with damp cloth.

This a potentially a perfect product save for reliability. I am on my third now, the first two having failed. Time will tell on the latest one of course. I do feel that this product is over priced for what it is I.e. It's components.UPDATEI am still on my third but it is constantly falsing and I think there are better options out there now, which you should look at before parting with your cash for one of these.

Love the pin pointer and use it often. It saves a lot of time. If I was to buy another one it would have to be waterproof.

Der Pinpointer ist massiv verarbeitet, liegt gut in der Hand und auch das Gürtelholster ist sehr praktisch. Ob man flächig mit der Seite oder gezielt mit der Spitze sucht, die Gegenstände werden präzise angezeigt. Er ist aber eben nur zum direkten Orten des Gegenstandes gedacht, also eine Ergänzung zum großen Metalldetektor und keinesfalls ein Ersatz. Ein sehr gutes Gerät!
