Best note cards I've ever used.
REALLY pleased with these cards. Regular note cards tend to tear or bend over time. These will hold up over the long haul. Love it that markers do not bleed through and I enjoy that is has no lines so I can add drawings or diagrams to my notes. These were recommended by an author I follow, and I'm pleased as can be with them. Countless uses - flash cards for my homeschooled grandchildren (will withstand their energy!); study notes for myself; and I absolutely love them for my kitchen remodel templates - holds up enough to draw on with heavy marker, then so much easier to cut than cardboard or wood, easy to tape onto my wood or flooring or tiles to make those odd shaped cuts, and holds up so much better than a regular piece of paper. It also was a great edger while painting the ceiling and baseboards. Truly multi-purpose, and for just note taking - superb.

True to the listing - these are super thick & bright. Quality & service are excellent. Prices are good considering the high quality. Small business - support them.

If you need sturdy, they are more than worth it... (17pt. 3x5)
Like many, I've noticed the way index cards have become little more than cut thick paper, not even basic cardstock weight. Part of the reason is in keeping prices about the same while material costs go up and sales go down for major manufacturer product lines. Not that many still use index cards, but I do, and I'm not a student anymore. This is why some major manufacturers now have a limited "heavy weight" series of products that are still thinner than our old index cards, but heavier than the cheapest things currently available. So having access to truly sturdy, thick cards is appreciated. Granted, these are even thicker than I originally intended/hoped for, but they are becoming an every day go-to. I'm satisfied paying a higher price for quality and durability. If you are still accessing an old library card-catalog, these are even thicker than their oldest, thick cards. The 17pt. sized are about the thickness of the index dividers that were once used. While the seller warns not to use these in printers, if you are a little bit antiquarian, be advised these will generally only feed through larger, desktop typewriters, most portable ones not having a platen of sufficient diameter to feed them through. About the only portables I found that could handle these cards was a Hermes 3000 and some of the more recent electric Smith Coronas. If you intend to type on the cards, I recommend the slightly more expensive but lighter weight 14pt. cards.I also appreciate that the seller is so willing to work to make these available in multiple sizes, AND that they are available as blanks. I notice that the major brand heavy-weight cards are all ruled.Overall, these are clearly more expensive than cheap store brand, but providing a better quality and user experience is worth the extra cost. It's not THAT much more unless one usually only uses 10 cards from a pack, then throws the rest away after they get creased and destroyed from leaving them loose in the bottom of a bag. And you'll be supporting a small business and sending a signal that quality matters.

Exactly as described
These are so much nicer than any other note card I've ever used, it has become impossible for me to enjoy handling other index cards. The thickness makes them extremely useful for underlining text while reading as well as recording important points for future reference. No wimpy bendy paper here! These are made from solid, bright white, heavy card stock, easy to retrieve from a file box, and perfect if you like making and sending your own postcards. This review is long overdue since I've been using and reordering these cards for a couple of years now and will continue to do so. Excellent product and fast delivery. Thanks Chris!

Very Thick and Bright White - Enjoyable to Use
The Super Thick index cards by Nordstrom Dumati, LLC are very thick as advertised. My need was index cards that did not require a desk or book under them to take notes from an online course and to draw and sketch. The Super Thick Cards were excellent. They were bright white compared to a warm white which can be seen in a side by side comparison in the attached photo. The bright white card in the photo is one of the very thick cards. The warm white card is a thick card from a competing vendor that costs much more than Super Thick index cards. I purchased both items because the reviews on Amazon did not address my concerns. Are these Super Thick index cards hard like wood? No. The are, however, very thick as advertised. They can serve many purposes. They are much thicker than any index card that I have purchased in decades.Does a Sharpie bleed through to the back? No. The Sharpie did not bleed to the back of the card or around the edges of the writing. Can the writing with a Sharpie be seen when held to a light? It depends on the light. If held close to a lightbulb or light box then yes, the writing is visible. If using in normal light or outdoors then no, the writing is not visible.Do the edges bend with normal use? No.Does the paper smudge easily when using pencil? No. This can be a pro or con. If used for art pencil and charcoal sketches, plan to use extra tools and techniques for blending. Can this Super Thick index card be used for watercolor and paints? Yes, but I have not tested enough to make a recommendation. It’s better than any other index card found in retail stores. If liquid like sweat from a cold glass drops on the card, does the card wrinkle? No. I accidentally dripped a few drops of both water and coffe and the card did not wrinkle. Were there any negatives? The white is very white so can be tiring to the eyes. The edges are shown in the photos so that you can see that at least one side of each set of cards has fuzzy pieces from the cutting process making them look unclean. I simply used a tissue to brush off the fuzzy shavings. I thank the reviewers who mentioned the fuzzy edges. The cards take up more space and are heavy in a purse or bag because they are heavier than standard cards. If given to children to be carried in a backpack or if used for speaking notes, expect the cards’ thickness to take up more space. There are some nice looking card carriers for kids’ game cards and interesting teen and adult carriers found on Amazon. They may not say “index card” but can be used for disguising the cards in a fun way. I’m using plastic sandwhich bags for now. Rubber bands will work, but they need to be thick and heavy duty. The Very Thick index cards were a good buy much better than the dollar cards that get quickly ruined and waste my time through quickly bending, smearing, and tearing the first time that I use them. I purchased a second set of two sizes.
