Handy ArtDesigner's Palette Artist Acrylic 32 ounce, Modeling Paste Medium

This product works excellently for texture art on canvas.The paste is sticky and easy to spread. It dries very slowly and because of the stickiness I should have used some water to dilute it a bit in order to have easier flow for a smooth application. Additionally, once applied it can be difficult to resmooth when necessary, however any paste that got on the canvas by mistake was incredibly easy to remove without blemish.It looks amazing after extensive drying time.I even added some crushed pebbles to increase add a rough texture accent and the paste made this even easier to apply.

I took a chance and purchased this gel medium based on reviews. It worked great with multi media art using gelli plate, acrylic paint on printer paper and card stock. Medium thickness.

This medium is a great thickness to build into my acrylic paintings and give them the texture I was looking for, absolutely love it. One caution is the smell is a bit strong while it's wet, as these things are, so keep that in mind if you're new to using mediums with your art work. It's a great value as it's a large size for my use as I usually paint on canvases in the 8x10-11x14 range and only use it on one or two objects in my work. It may not be as economical for someone using very large canvases and seeking to cover most of the surface with a very thick coat of medium. For me, I will have to experiment with thicker objects in my work just to be sure to use it up before it deteriorates as these things always do eventually. It has a nice silky spreadability I like and is easy to manipulate into various textures.

I'm not an experience modeling paste user. so my opinion may not be useful to an artist. I bought this for art journaling and cardmaking. It's very thick and I haven't been able to get a great result when using through a stencil. Again, this may be entirely my lack of experience. It has seemed to work better with stencils with larger openings than very small ones.When it dries it has a sort of 'rubbery' feel. Maybe all thicker modeling pastes do. I have mixed a bit of acrylic paint into it to tint it and it didn't seem to negatively affect it at all. I intend to make my own 'glitter' paste soon and I would think it's thickness would be good support for the glitter.It's a great bargain at this price, compared to better known name brands.

I have used their acrylic gels and paste for a few years now I mix them with my acrylic paint. I’m a palette knife artist and these make a perfect texture .

I am delighted with this gel medium. The price is right and it is always a consistent quality. I use it for mixed media applications and collage work. Great product.

So this is one of the best that I've ever tried and clearly it works better than some of the name brands. The only thing that I wish was that it was much thicker and I can actually sculpt with it. There are other brands that does do that but it's usually overseas ones. But other than that the consistency of the thickness the way it moves and it's easier to create projects with is so good! I will buy this any day and it actually works so good for my art my clients love it so much.
