Quality product with certain considerations........
The PROS: Excellant 5X lens quality, sturdy build, good viewing area size, 3 levels of brightness, USB-C charging port. It should handle accidental drops & bumps pretty well. No distortion. The CONS: 1. Location of button control is very conducive to accidentally turning on OR off when using, putting away or transporting in a tote, handbag, etc. Should have been designed with control placed on inside edge of handle or main framework so when handle is closed, it would be sheltered from making contact.2. The weight should be taken into consideration given the intended user's hand/wrist/arm neuromuscular condition and time duration of each usage period. The build quality is reflected in the overall weight of the magnifier and since it IS handheld, fatigue is going set in after a given duration of use with your lower arm/wrist in a fixed position. Short term use might not be problem for someone with these physical limitations ( especially grip issues). Felt this should be addressed.I ordered this WINCHY 5X magnifier and the MAGNIPROS 5X Large Page magnifier to compare, in hand, as a gift. Both are good choices with the following observations:MagniPros is the better option if you are physically challenged in the areas mentioned above. Much lighter weight build quality, ultra slim, larger viewing area, more LEDs, 3 different light color tones as well as dimmable by toggling the control button from left side or right side. They do offer a stand on one of their offerings so if physical ability is a concern, the stand would be a great option. That being said, here are my other considerations: lighter weight equals less sturdier build. I do not think it would handle hard surface impacts very well. The lens is acrylic ( less weight). CHARGING PORT is Micro USB.ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, both products are great options! Just depends on the target user's needs & physical abilities. Hope this helps others.

Great magnifying glass but sensitive light button
I like this magnifying glass. It’s very clear and the lights are a big help. But, the light button is situated where it’s more comfortable for me to hold the magnifying glass and it’s very, very sensitive. I have seen others comment about this.It seems to respond to the heat in your finger. It will turn on and through the three brightness levels and then off again as you hold the magnifying glass handle and it is very annoying. So…I made a fix.I made a double layer elastic band that fits around handle. (Single layer was not enough)The elastic stays put but allows you to easily slide it up or down as needed to adjust the light with the button. This fix allows you to use the magnifying glass without constantly triggering the light button.4 stars because it is a great magnifying glass. However, it really needs to be re-engineered to address the issue with the power button.

Mother In Law Gift
I bought this for my mother in law since she refuses to wear her glasses and always uses the camera on her phone and zooms in on what she's looking at 🤔. She loves how easy it is to use especially the light feature! I would recommend this to ANYONE due to it being useful for anyone who doesn't want to squint or strain their eyes! The size is not so tiny where you'll constantly lose it but is also not so large to where you have to carry the dictionary around with you. It fits well in my mother in laws purse... right next to her magnifying glass. XD

My go to magnifier
I have had all kinds of magnifiers from large to mini. This is the one I use for everything. The light is adjustable for brightness with the touch of a button, and can be on or off. It is light weight and easy to hold - the handle can be out or in. The magnification is perfect for me for all things from a page in a book to a label on a bottle. It easily recharges by pugging into a computer. It is sturdy and seems to be very well made.

For the irritating tiny writing
I love love love this product. It magnifies writing on OTC meds, box labels, instructions on cans. And has 3 levels of lighting, and charges on your normal charging cords. It's a lifesaver. Drop an earring or tack, find it with this magnifier.

The light button is too touchy. Burns battery power fast.
I would have loved using this but the light switch is located in the best spot for accidental touch. That means I have to grip the handle further down the length. The button is on the spot that one must place the thumb. That causes frequent accidental changes in the light intensity. I am sad for anyone with a disability like Parkinson's ( the light would blink like a Christmas tree!) Also, the photo makes it appear much larger than it is. The glass part is the size of a pack of cigarettes. That means it is best over a paperback book. A hard back book is too wide. You must move the lens right to left to read a line. Everything about this gadget is great except for the touchy light button that wastes battery. Wish it was bigger and had a better off switch.
