Gator Frameworks Elite Series X-Style Wood Guitar Stand in Natural Maple Finish Fits Acoustic, Electric, & Bass (GFW-ELITEGTRXSTD-MPL)

I really like this stand. I was looking for one that would look good in the living room. Most stands look like band equipment, and I wanted one that looks more like furniture. This is it. Assembles in a minute, has a great wood finish, and has enough padding where the guitar sits. It's also easy to lift the guitar on and off, which makes me play it more. The wife accepts the addition to the living room since it looks so good, and since it's right there, I grab it and practice every day now. Buy it!

For the price, I was expecting a little better quality fit & finish. The slots where you assemble it are a little rough cut, and the rough edges seems like it would be easy to cause "wear and tear" with repeated assembling/disassembling. Which kind of defeats the purpose of this stand, as the best selling point is that it's portable and stows away flat. They should have sanded, lighlty rounded and possibly coated the slots to make it slide together smooth with no rough/sharp edges.One thing I should note is that mine arrived with a wrong part. There should be a "left side" and a "right side" to the stand, and I received two "right sides". (The slot needed to be cut on the opposite edge on one piece.)I'm just not that thrilled with the product overall. It's two small pieces of plywood with foam edging that couldn't have cost too much to manufacture. I think $30 would be a more fair price.

This stand provides a solid base on which to stand your acoustic guitar (it also has narrower notches for an electric, but I don't have one so couldn't test that). The stand completely supports the guitar, so that it's not touching the wall, floor, or any other surface, and it is rock-steady. Appearance-wise, it's a good-looking base, and the fact that it matches my guitar is a nice bonus. Overall, a great product that does exactly what it claims to.
