I bought the pack with two 4'x50' pieces. I assumed the fabric would be stiff and crinkly like those cheap blue paint tarps but it is soft and very pliable. After reading how it was messy to cut with a razor knife I used my shop scissors and it cut as easily a paper. I didn't notice any perforations to allow water to pass thru but did after holding a bright lamp behind it.

Competely adequate for gardening. I have smaller space. The 2 ftwide works well for me.
