A Bit Slow, But Opens Cans
Bought this for Mom who decided she wanted an old school electric can opener instead. Was not work trying to return so I decided to keep it for myself.Size is good. Fits in my drawer easily. Is a bit slow, but not sure if that is my batteries or not. How much of a hurry can you really be in that a few seconds extra to open a can will really be a problem?Have yet to find a can it has not been able to open. It even opened a can with a "ding" in the top edge.Clamps on to the can top and self drives around it so you can walk away and grab other ingredients. Can opener has never fallen off a can.Magnet that is supposed to lift of the lids is useless. I just use my hand and pop the edge up to remove the top.

watch out for the lid!
i was very interested in this product as my electric-charged opener had become too difficult to use (i could never seem to get the blade positioned just right to engage the opener, so i'd have to resort to an old-school manual opener, which became too painful to use w/my recent osteoarthritis). anyway, i eagerly approached my first can. the opener whirled around the can, then stopped. (oh, practice has taught me that you have to press/hold a little, not just a quick tap to engage it.) i lifted up the opener, which did not have the lid attached, and the can looked like it did when i first brought it home! couldn't see any signs of a cut by the opener! if i recall, i tried to do this again. then i reread the directions for taking off the lid and squeezed, gently at first, then as hard as i could around the sides of the can. instead of gently lifting the lid off, it jumped up and the can squirted the liquid part of its contents all over my clothes and the counter! didn't particularly like having to deal with tomato sauce stain. whether it was refried beans (which often have a little liquid in them) to veggies packed in water, the liquid part always squirts out! so be forewarned -- wear an apron before approaching or be prepared to do some stain removal. otherwise, the opener is great, which is why i gave it 4 stars.

Got a lemon and the supplier cannot be found!
I bought a Tornado can opener a few years ago. It worked great. After four years though it finally wore out so I bought the "new improved" F4 model (from Amazon) that they sell now. It is smaller and only uses three batteries. It was a lemon out of the box. I tried it on two different cans and the tops won't come off. So I figured I would call the supplier, HarvestDirect to get a replacement but they don't answer their customer service phone. You get a recording to "LEAVE A MESSAGE AND WE WILL CALL YOU BACK," Nope, I left several messages three days in a row and also sent an email to their customer service email but nobody called or emailed me back. This is a crap company. Don't take a chance.

as advertised
Does what it's suppose to do. You have to get the hang of it but once you do it's perfect.

It doesn't work!
Like I said, It doesn't work. It doesn't cut the lid all the way round the can. I didn't use it until about a week ago, past the return date. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Nice Tornado Hands Free Can Opener, but NOT as good as the original Tornado
This worked okay, but I had trouble getting the lid off the can. Have ONLY used it the one time, so time will tell. It's good, but it's NOT as good as the original Tornado. I bought the original Tornado Hands Free Can Opener at WalMart, many years. Never had an issue. Unfortunately, it finally quit working about a month ago. And when I bought a new one, I ended up with the F4. It is smaller, and it doesn't work as well!!!

Easy to use.
It works well, but the real test is to see for how long it works well. I would recommend it if, like me, you do not have room for a free standing electric can opener. it is a vast improvement on my previous one. A small, but useful, attribute is that it stops automatically when it reaches the start point.
