This battery is a perfect replacement for an old battery in my Garmin Drive 6 and many other Garmin GPS. But replacing it is tricky. This is the one to buy because it comes with two tiny screw drivers and a plastic pry-tool and you'll need them all! Removing the four tiny screws on the back of my GPS was very difficult, not at all easy like the ones in the u tube videos. The screws are in very tight and the head / screwdriver ports slip easily unless you really have the perfect screw driver. Further, there are four more screws in side you will likely have to remove to pull the circuit board out far enough to pop out the old battery and insert the new one. In my case, however, sad news-- the display screen connects to the circuit board with a wide ribbon connector that came loose when I re-assembled the GPS. I had to take it apart again to discover that, and it was almost impossible to re-insert that ribbon cable onto the circuit board. But even when I did that, the screen never worked again. Would not light up. So... I removed my new battery (save it for another GPS) and trashed the entire GPS! I hpe you have better luck!

I bought this battery to replace one in my Garmin Drive 51. After viewing the replacement video on U-tube, it was accomplished. The necessary tools were included with this battery. Prompt service with the correct battery!

The battery install was easy but the pry tool provided was inferior. I just installed the battery so am unable to judge its short or long term viability. If you are replacing the factory battery I have a tip. Rather than using some type of double sided tape to secure the new battery and prevent it from rattling around inside the case, carefully remove the layer of sticky tape from the factory battery and apply to the back of the new battery. It comes off fairly easily if you, very slowly, peel the tape from the corners of the old battery. There is plenty of stick left on that tape to make it useful for another few years. Just be very careful NOT to pull the tape so hard that it pierces the old battery wrap. That would not be a good thing. SLOWLY peel!

Holds a charge nicely and with time and introspection I was able to install the battery into my garmin gps unit. The tools were handy.

My husband purchased this back in August. He was happy with the price and service. Unfortunately, the battery has failed and is no longer working. It came with a one year replacement warranty.
