Gentle For Sensitive Skin & Effective! Wish I Had Discovered It Sooner, It Is AWESOME!
LOVE this stuff!!! Okay so I am new to this whole anti-aging skin care business even though I am 39yrs old. I have had (and still kinda have) acneic, sensitive, combination skin since I was a teen, so I admit I had kinda given up on my skin. The signs of aging were getting a bit too apparent recently though, so I learned what the dermatologists recommended and got shopping for a retinol serum.This particular serum was actually recommended by dermatologist Dr. Sam Ellis on Youtube. I was SUPER nervous to start a retinol because of the "purge" phase I had heard about (and the last thing I wanted was a pimple explosion argh), and since I have very delicate, sensitive skin as well I was scared it would hurt and burn my skin! Dr. Ellis assured that FAB brand was amazing for sensitive skin, so I took the plunge!I couldn't have been more pleased with this AWESOME product! It didn't irritate my skin! I started off using it as directed a few times a week/about every other day initially. I also spot tested it before using it on my entire face. The first week or two it felt maybe a very wee bit burn-ey (barely) for a few minutes after applying, then totally fine. Once my skin got used to it I didn't notice a thing!What do I love about this stuff? NO scent! Super gentle, yet effective as heck. I did have some mild purging in the first few weeks, but NO peeling, NO redness, NO irritation. The purging would come and go quickly over a couple of days. The texture of this stuff is excellent, and it doesn't feel heavy at all. It feels moisturizing and light!Within one month I began seeing changes to my skin! Smoother skin, fewer pimples, fewer dark patches/more even skin tone, glowing skin, and a decrease in wrinkles. My skin legit felt more plump/thick/youthful. Now I am close to 2.5 months into using this and am continuing to see my skin improve! I have NEVER in my life had such a beautiful complexion, and I am kicking myself for not learning about all of this sooner for my troubled skin!

Pilling is biggest issue
I was using Skinmedica 0.5% retinol but had chronic issues with dryness & peeling. Finally decided to try a weaker retinol that didn’t cause peeling & I could use daily with other actives. Tried this mainly because it’s cheaper than Skinmedica. Definitely does not cause peeling even with daily use. Unfortunately I find it pills a lot. I got it to work just ok if I spread it on very quickly then don’t touch my skin at all for a good hour or so before attempt more products. This is a pain at bedtime too because I often fall asleep before I can add more steps. If I rub my skin any more or sooner than this, it peels up & I have no idea if the active parts are still there. So going back to Skinmedica 0.25% after this.

WEAR SUNSCREEN WHEN USING!!!!
Only a few days in and my skin is definitely purging!! Just beware your skin will breakout before it gets better. Also WEAR SUNSCREEN!!!! Sat in the sun today not wearing sunscreen and I have a rash on my cheek. But otherwise great product!

Perfect for Retinol beginners
I’m 31 & wanted to start a Retinol regimen. I don’t have a lot of skin problems but it was more a preventative measure than anything. YouTube videos got me a little scared of trying a product that was too strong. I chose this one bc I trust this brand & I liked that it was aimed for beginner users or sensitive skin. I followed the instructions & used it every 3 days for a week or two then upped it to every two days for a week. I didn’t experience any breakouts (which I guess can be common in starting Retinol) or discomfort. I use it every night now on my neck & face. I definitely think it is a valuable asset to my skincare routine.

Does minimize appearance of normal age lines
I have been unhappy with age lines but not ready to go to a dermatologist for any of the procedures or treatments that are out there. I started using this product in conjunction with the face wash, exfoliating pads, & night cream. I have been happy with the minimization of forehead and frown lines!

The retin-A renews my skin right away, after like 3 days I see a difference
Dries skin and exfoliates the dead cells but renews and appears to make new skin grow of a better quality underneath. Unable to get rid of jowl lines and jowls
