Q: What's the difference between the blue and purple kaleidocolor? I want to go dark brown/black to light blonde

Blue helps to lift darker hair and gets rid of orange undertones, while purple lifts medium brown to blonde hair and gets rid of yellow brassy tones. Depending on how healthy your hair is decides what kind of developer you use. If youve never colored pr lightened your hair before, you could used 30 to 40 volume developer, but i wouldnt reccomend it on your scalp. If youve colored your hair before, use 20 or 10 volume developer, because it will be gentler on your hair. Also make sure you read intrsuctions to know how long to leave it on your hair, and do your roots last, because they lighten quicker than the rest of your hair!

You can use Clairol Professional Kaleidocolors Blue Powder Lightener to lighten your brunette hair while toning down brassiness, along with mixing our Clairol Professional 10 or 20 Volume Crème Developer. Mix 4 level scoops of Kaleidocolors with 2 ounces of 10 or 20 Volume Crème Developer. We recommend performing a strand test on a 1-2 inch section of hair with a teaspoon amount of product and avoid mixing the product with metals. We do not recommend mixing with Clairol Professional 30 Volume Crème Developer unless using a balayage technique for hair lightening. Q: Your description says 4 scoops but the tub says 1oz to 2 oz ratio which is it?

Thank you for being a loyal Clairol Customer and reaching out to ask this question. Our Clairol Professional Kaleidoscopes Hair Lightener and Toning is a 1:2 mix ratio. If you use 1 ounce of Lightener you would use 2 ounces of developer. Four level scoops equals 1 ounce. Both directions are correct as it is explaining the same amount with giving you different options on how to measure it out according to preference. As long as you are using a 1:2 mix you can use whatever desired amount you wish to mix up. 1 part lightener and 2 parts developer. I hope this answered your question today.
