I don’t review things often, but this was a great replacement for my original xm3 ear cushions. Installation was easy and it was extremely reasonably priced. I found the fit to be identical and it is highly comfortable (felt very close to the original). Others have complained about it being harder/firmer than the original but I don’t find that to be true. In terms of noise cancelling, I felt a noticeable improvement with the new ear pads. Sound quality hasn’t been impacted at all. 5/5!

Let’s clear the air of users reporting the replacements pads being hard/generate heat/not as comfortable as originals etc. Also the cost difference between originals and the replacements being huge. The difference, both in cost & feel is due to the type of leather chosen. Artificial leather is low cost, environmental friendly but feel will not be same as real leather. Real high quality animal leather will cost more, be cruel & provide excellent feel due to it being breathable and very soft. However there is no difference in the sound experience as both the type of pads, perform exactly the same. Sound insulation is superb and ANC works like a charm. Headphones sound as good as new. Due to the listed factors, choosing artificial leather is a VFM option by considerable margin & makes sense. That is what most customers have gone for and happy about it. If you need the same feel & fit/finish as the originals, lambskin pads are the closest you can get for almost double the cost of the artificial leather. Cow/buffalo leather costs double the lamb & hence the Sony pricing of the originals + their premium for providing you with the replacement service. The options available are basis the skin-feel of the pads & not the actual end performance. Choose as per your needs, budget & expectations.

First feel- nice and comfortable Ease of application - quite easy, the manual is easy to understand Value for money - super Received mine today and after changing the original old worn off pads on my WH1000Xm3, I am blown away by the quality of sound that has improved. Cant comment on durability as received the pads only today. If someone has a WH1000xm3 since a long time and the ear pads have worn off, I highly recommend this. Sparing some ₹800 will bring the headphones back to life and in a big way!

They fit well. Quality looks good. Easy to install. But it get quite warm. Not sure how long can one use them.

My Sony WH 1000 XM3 is now more than 4 years old and the ear cushion had detoriated and started to fall out. I was in search of replacement cups, visited Service center and was astonished with the price and service charges to replace the original ones, it was close to 5K. Searched online and found this along with few other different brands. This one was comparatively cheaper so ordered it, Glad it turned out super. Easy to fit, they gave a plastic pryer to remove the old cups. Fitting was easy just match the groves and press, click sound when grove matches. Coming to Noise Cancelling, No difference Fit and finish superb Can wear the same period as the original ones no ear pain. Same soft memory foam as original No weird smell from ear cups after a month of use. I am looking for the headband to replace but cannot find suitable products just like this.

The original ear pads on the Sony WH-1000XM3 don’t last long and eventually need replacing. My first ear pad replacements were made of a small amount of squishy foam with sweat-inducing “protein leather” (vinyl) cover. They soon lost their bounce making it feel like the ear cup frame was pressing directly against my ears and temples. This made my XM3’s uncomfortable to wear, even for short periods of time. I tossed them and got these ear pads as replacements. Instead of wimpy-grade foam, these ear pads are made of thick and dense memory foam. They are much more comfortable than either the Sony OEM pads or my previous replacement pads, especially after long listening sessions. The material stitching and overall construction are done well and are sturdy. No need to worry about maintaining excellent bass reproduction and high performance ANC – the dense memory foam used in these ear pads provides excellent passive noise isolation. The other problem with my OEM and previous ear pads was the vinyl covering used on them. The vinyl tends to make your ears and head sweat more easily. The micro suede material used on these ear pads makes them not only more comfortable on your skin, but also less prone to making you sweat because suede is a more breathable fabric. These ear pads are also easy to install. They come with a small plastic tool to help remove the old ear pads. You simple press the edges of these ear pads onto the edges of the speaker frame until you hear a click when they attach. When attaching the ear pads, be sure to work your way around the entire circumference of the pads so that all of the plastic clips attach to the frame.

These replacement ear bud covers for the Sony are better than the OEM plastic covers. I wear them daily for more than 3 hours and they are comfortable and easy to install in about 5 minutes for both sides.
