Sturdy cage that appears to be used multiple times. Assembly instructions could have been clearer, but was able to figure it out after a bit. I was able to capture 2 raccoons at the same time on the first night.

The first one came missing a piece. Had to return and get another. Once the new one arrived, it was used just over a week and now it’s worthless. Its rusty, pieces bent and door will not set. Very low quality. If you are only trying to catch 1 animal or maybe 2, it might work. This is garbage and a waste of time.

The trap is designed well however, the setup instructions leave something to be desired. The text is not concise enough to assemble the trap, relies too much on photos. No parts list or picture. How to attach frame fasteners is not clear.

I think the black wire has something to do with the effectiveness of this trap with opossum and Raccoons however 4 stars because the last raccoon chewed up the trigger rod so badly it was time consuming to get the trap functional again, a raccoon can damage this trap easily, but this destructive raccoon is no longer raiding my grapes!

The trigger wire on the inside is pretty much useless as each animal caught will dislodge, bend, wreck the light weight wire and the light weight trip pan forcing you to rebuild the trap after each catch. I remanufactured the trigger mechanism to be on the outside and added heavier wire under the trip pan making it stronger.

Originally got this to trap a raccoon that was coming into our cat's back shed room and literally sleeping on top of his house. Never did trap the raccoon but I did trap....the cat. Atleast I know the trigger mechanism works. I eventually just returned it because I'm accepting the raccoon I'm after is too wily for this. He also hasn't been coming around often so it's less of a concern now. However, if you have animals that are constantly in your vicinity, this is great. Easy to setup and get it armed once you learn it. Would recommend.

I attempted to catch a cat twice, but it went inside both times. I had everything set up properly, yet the flip didn’t go down. I'm very disappointed. This is a replacement from the same company, and it hasn't worked again. They really need to rethink their design.

Quality cage. I use it for Raccoons, who are smart and resourceful when trying to escape. Plus the big ones can be 35 lbs. This cage has held fast. No issues.
