Does absolutely what it says it will do. A great product bought after another product from elsewhere had led to disappointment.

I find it just won’t stand anywhere on any of the shelves. Once water turns on or a slight breeze it falls over. Might just be me as no one else reporting that but I’ve found it frustrating. Can’t say it runs for very long but summer approaching so it’ll have lots of sun as a proper fair trial. It does work though.Updated: with more sun, it is running for a long time now.

DO NOT BUY! seller very very rude in his replies and also would not refund untill amazon told them if they do not they will not sell on amazon again! the sola pump is meant to run for between 4 to 6 hours when fully charge be it by sun or charger it does NOT at the very very best you may get 2hours i only got one day out of it at 2hr all other days on a FULL charge it only run for 1.5hours so not as described and seller like i said NOT FIT FOR porpose!!a shame really bcause the pump itself is very good the pannels functions are not! if the unit runs out of power ie sun and or battery the unit will not start up automatically ( all my others sola pumps and i have 4 more do start up as soon as sun comes up they even work on a cloudy days and fully charged will work 24/7 ) this means you need to start it up again with the remote and means it is no good if you are on holiday because once it ran out of battery it would be off for the whole time you was away and if you have fish ( like i do in my small pond ) this could and would kill your fish also the indicator light on the back that is meant to let you know if the battery pack is full/half charged or out of charge DOES NOT WORK, so to sum up bin worthy product rude seller DO NOT BUY!!

A very robust solar panel with good firm plugs . My only minus point is that the light on the back that should show red,amber ,green to indicate charge state does not work.I have bought it to run a waterfall and it works very well . The pump is tiny ,it happily sits on a shelf so it will not pick up so much much as a bigger pump what would have to sit in deep water.Left to charge for a day ,a day which was for the most part cloudy ,it has run well the next day and is still doing so.I am very pleased with it,it has so far exceeded my expectations.

Good fountain but as another reviewer said, the light on the back of the solar panel doesn’t work. I guess it doesn’t matter too much as the fountain works anyway but you can’t look at the back and see if it’s red amber or green. Fountain size is very impressive and remote is good. It says 10m reach on the remote but it’s not, I’d say less than 2m from the solar panel to use the remote, which again isn't too much of an issue.
