Not Suitable Even for Gentle Chewers
I was excited to find a toy for my teething Siberian Husky puppy to chew on, since he seemed to enjoy frozen towels and other cold items on his gums. This toy, however, does not seem strong enough to hold up to even a gentle chewer, let alone a teething puppy. The rubber tube that holds the gel cracked open only minutes after I took it out of the freezer and gave it to my pup, and it had to be thrown away after only that one use.Until the product is redesigned with some stronger materials, I would stick to frozen dish towels instead of wasting your money on this.

DO NOT BUY
Tried to review this with zero stars but Amazon wouldn't allow it. Ripped open within days. Not filled with water, but a foamy mushy substance similar to wet floral foam. Probably bad that my puppy ingested this. Simply give your dog an ice cube, frozen yogurt treats or wet down and freeze a rope bone for them. Total waste of money, and in my opinion dangerous.

Great item for teething puppy!
My lab puppy is teething and nothing seems to be helping. I bought this on the off chance of providing her some temporary relief since my last attempt (a vanilla scented chilled bone toy) was less than successful. I was surprised at the quality once I received it. I liked the gel core (no leaking) and had high hopes so I threw it in the freezer. A few hours later it was icy and ready to test. This is hands down the best item I could have given her. It stayed cold and helped give her something with a pleasant texture to chew on. Things too hard she won't bother with because they hurt her gums, too soft and she destroys it. She played with it, chewing happily for at least an hour and I received many cold kisses in thanks.

Not the Best Option for Teething
This toy didn't even last 15 minutes in the battle against the dog teeth. My pup had it chewed open completely and chipped ice on the floor almost before I turned around from giving it to her. If your dog is teething I would have to recommend going with another item as the soft rubber of this combined with the solid ice makes it almost an afterthought for chewing dogs.

My heavy chewer puppy isn't interested in it
My 5 month old siberian husky is teething right now, so I thought this would be great for her. However, she has very little interest in it. She absolutely loves ice cubes, but this really does not interest her. It's well made and convenient and I really wish she was into it, but she's just super not. She is a heavy chewer and again, she loves cold things, but this doesn't do it for her.

My dog is obsessed with this toy. I got it for him as a puppy when he was teething. We live in a warm environment so I'm sure having a toy we can throw in the freezer was pleasant for him on the hot days. This toy is extremely durable. He had it for over a year before he broke it. I know he isn't teething anymore, but he loves it so much I just went ahead and bought another one.

My girl loved it - but put a hole in it within seconds. Kept it around a while - had to take it from her to re-freeze before it made a wet mess on the floor. After about a dozen 10 minute sessions with it, all the star ends were chewed off on both sides. Decided just taking a sturdy water bottle and freezing a bit of water in it would work better (take the cap off after it's frozen to avoid a choking hazard).

Great idea, dog loves it.
My 5 month old German Shepherd at the time thought it was weird at first but she LOVES ice cubes and was teething so I was hoping she would like this. And she does! She got used to it pretty quickly. But I accidentally left it out when it wasnt frozen anymore and her puppy teeth eventually peirced it open. So I let her play with it for fun now, its pretty durable, she must have really been working hard on it to get it peirced open that day.

So far puppy is not interested
So far puppy is not interested. He's mouthed it a few times but hasn't shown any real interest yet. I'll keep trying so back in the freezer it goes!
