From the first page I was truly enthralled and wrapped into this story. After I read the first book, the film Hunger Games came out at the cinemas and I went to see if the film was very good but as in most cases the book is better and explains in greater detail. I have now read all three books and enjoyed them so much I didn't want the last book to end. I know that the 2nd film is being made Mocking jay and cannot wait to see it.I know that these books are normally aimed at teenagers but I thoroughly enjoyed it and would fully recommend it to anyone who likes the guilty pleasure of going into another world for a short time. Sadly I read the 3 books in 5 days and am struggling to find another good read.

Riding on a high after reading the first Hunger Games book, I decided to send off for the three-book set, as I was hungry (excuse the pun) to read more about the kick-ass Katniss and what happened to her,post-Games win. I sent off for the trilogy after thinking that the three-book deal was rather a bargain...And there-in lies the rub. After waiting for at least two weeks for the books to arrive, (I could have walked to Easons and grabbed them off the shelf) I contacted the seller who claimed they had been sent back to him. So I asked him to send them back to me (eagre to catch up on the HG saga) or send me a refund. So I wait another week.........Apparently, they got 'lost in the post', but the seller was, in the end, very gracious and refunded me the full amount plus my postage fees.So. What to do now???I went to Easons, got their 3 for 2 offer, and have now nearly finished book two. Utterly fabulous and devastating and can't put the book down at all! If you want a book review - read the books! They are fabulous.But what does this say about the reliability of the post?Not. A. Lot...

I watched the first movie with a friend who said the books are a must read. I am so thankful to her advice, I loved the books and give a much better picture of the story and explains some of the concepts a little better. Obviously the movies never have as much in them as the books, but they were a great read! Couldn't put them down!

I absolutely love the hunger games world, it is such a good representation of issues in a metaphor and as I writer I love a good dystopian that hooks me start to finish and tackles hard topics such as poverty, a MUST read in your life, good purchase.

My daughter-in-law recommended these books to me. They were brilliant, once I started them I couldn't put them down. They story has a very fast pace and the two main characters are brought to life in a fantastic action thriller. The story is violent at times but keeps you on the edge of your seat. Very enjoyable read.

Our son commented that the day the 'The Hunger Games' trilogy arrived, Emily went to bed really early so she could read for as long as possible ! That's some recommendation ! Apparently it was her best birthday present. Great to have Amazons list of books that are suitable for teens, and great to have the books delivered directly, as grand-parents who live abroad.

I bought the Hunger Games trilogy due to the movies being advertised, as I always prefer the books. This set was fantastic value. I have read the first two in around 3 days each and am just about to embark on the conclusion.Great storytelling and attachment to the characters.
