Hi, was also a little unsure on the use of the stand but I am really impressed with this case. The bonus about the stand is that it can be used portrait and landscape. FYI - there is clear transparent version of this case with a stand which may be an option for you to consider. I may buy that one too in the future. The customer service from Torras is really good too. I did a review for them and they sent me another basis clear case. Overall would recommend.
