I was using a razor blade and ruler to do my cutting. This device is so much easier and more accurate. I don't know what I did without it.

This is an odd trimmer.1. The blade holder is not a firm piece. It rocks like a see saw resulting in uneven pressure.2. You have to press down very firmly to cut and it would only cut three pieces of 65lb card stock at one time.3. The right hand side is very short and of no use for measuring, so all measurements must be based on the left side of the trimmer.4. The swing arm on the left, does not lock into place so you must make sure it is level, to get an accurate measurement.

I've been using this trimmer for a few weeks now to save extra vinyl after it runs through the cricut (same for cardstock after cutting paperdolls etc).The blade is sharp. It effortlessly cuts the vinyl and cardstock without 'pulling' on it. It cuts in a straight line. There's other features, but to be honest I don't use them. I eyeball the best line to cut to save the most material, then quickly chop, so can't say if clamping and making square cuts works well (but certainly seems like it would).For what I bought it for, it meets and exceeds my expectations.

It works as it should, but doesnt cut completely streight sometimes, not sure if its just me not used to placing the paper correctly or if its the product, but Ive only used it 5 times so far so I will have to wait and see after some more uses. Other than this, I really like it!
