Q: Can it be used with metal cookie cutters?

It is not recommended to use metal tools, which can easily break the Silicone Pastry Mat.

Q: What is the thickness of these mats?

I don't know the exact thickness, but I have used theses over 100 times and have no problem with them tearing. They do not "fold" flat, but must be rolled up. I love them.

Q: Is there a trick in washing this silicone pastry mat ? It seems that being soft silicone, it will be hard to wash well in the sink.

I leave mine on the counter and wipe wash it that way. Never had one of these pastry mat before and so happy I finally bought one. And I have been baking since 1999.
