Tales from Atlantis: Coloring Book (Hanna Karlzon)

When it arrived I wasn’t surprised that it had been damaged on the corner but since it didn’t mess up any of the pages I am okay with that, I just don’t understand why Amazon can’t seem to ship hardcover books and coloring books without denting them! It’s happened before, even though the box it was in had zero damage and was bigger than the book with hard cardboard it came like this, which means it was already damaged when they packaged it. Whyyy? Anyhow, this is my 3rd HK book and the first smaller size book I have, I really like this size as it fits in my colored pencil tote bag, it’s just easier and not as intimidating as larger pages. I found plenty of inspiration to color this book on Pinterest, so for anyone looking for for that you will find it there and instagram too.

Here’s what I love most about Hanna Karzlon’s coloring books - even the most intricate design is still cut and dry enough that the extra design work is left to the person coloring in the pages. She doesn’t use too much ink, in other words. Plus, the paper used for the book is stellar. The designs in this underwater-themed serving are as masterfully designed as ever. Fans new and old will appreciate the book full stop. Okay

Love this new coloring book was so surprised by the beautiful artwork. This is one of her best ones I have them all. I love the ocean so this one takes me there! Beautiful!

I have several Hanna Karlzon books and I love them. Her style is unique and I just enjoy coloring in her books. The paper is decent quality and not like a cheap copy paper.

The paper isn’t thin where the pens bleed through easily, the pictures are always detailed and beautiful. 10/10

I love this, the hardcover adds a novelty feel. Fun illustrations, and the paper has a smooth glossy texture. Underneath is a Johanna Basford coloring book to give a reference to the size of Hanna Karlzon's. I like the smaller size because I can get a full page completely done in one sitting.

I love the variety of images! I wasn't sure if I wanted an entire book of undersea themes but because I know I love all her images I pre-ordered anyway. I was happy to find a huuuuuge variety of images that are all very different. We have a lot to color in here - feathers, mermaid tails, scales, bubbles, pottery, marble, crystals, waters, skies, portraits, fur, etc etc.

Great for coloring. Great inHanna Karlzon way. Love all her books.
