Easy to install! We had an obnoxious hammer. It seriously sounded like a hammer when the water stopped! It took about 5 minutes to get both arrestors on. I attached them to the washer instead of at the valve. It doesn't matter if it is at the valve or at the washer. I started a load of clothes and it was amazing!!!! No more hammer! I just installed today so I hope they last but the initial results are just amazing!

Very easy installation process (attached directly to the hot and cold inlets on my LG washer. This took care of the water hammer caused by the rapid opening of the solenoid valves that engage when the washer fills at the beginning of the cycle. The machine runs silently after the installation. Here is my only gripe - the packaging label is very ambiguous. In two places it says lead free and in a third it indicates a low lead content. Since I am not using this on a potable water line I was not too concerned about the ambiguity. It would be really great if the vendor would weigh in on this and indicate if this product is truly lead free - for peace of mind in potable water applications.

Not for UK (EU?) washing machines. The washing machine hose fits correctly but when other end is screwed to the water tap or the washing machine it's still slack. Turn tap on, serious water leak. Reason; this is for hose connection ONLY, therefore washing machine hose fits fine but washing machine is not a hose connection, therefore leaks. Simple! This should be made clear in the listing description

Does not feet for every washing machine

These do the job to reduce water hammer on our washing machine, but apparently these devices wear out and have to be replaced every few years. But they're worth it to reduce the banging and clanging in the pipes and the damage water hammer does. We have an LG direct-drive washing machine that we really like, but it creates more water hammer in the pipes than our old machine. We've replaced the anti-hammer devices once since we got the washer, and expect we'll have to do it again in a few years. I'd get these again.
