Rubbish
Sent it back it didn’t even get remotely hot. To say it’s lukewarm is flattering. Left it for 24 hours thinking it needed time to heat up and it was still lukewarm. Meanwhile my tortoise was getting cold and I had no other bulb. Had to go to local shop to get a traditional bulb so that’s my advice just go to the local pet shop. The bulbs are cheaper and actually work as they say they do. A week later my tortoise died I’ll never know if she just got sick or got sick because she got cold due to this garbage bulb. Very unhappy.

Doesn't fit inside guard with fixture
Arrived quickly and works well but Amazon's recommendation for buying with the prorep heater guard and komodo ceramic lamp fixture was inaccurate as the combination of the heater and fixture was too long to fit inside the guard by about 2 inches! What should have been a simple fitting turned into a real headache as had to adapt to fit

Lasts well
Perfect for snakes. I use this with a guard around it to protect my snake from burns. I control the temperature with a thermostat to keep a constant heat. This is lasting well, much better than heat bulbs IMO and it can be kept on overnight so no disturbing your critters with glaring light. I would definitely recommend purchasing a guard for this emitter as they get very very hot.

These do not last very long at all!
Just had my second one blow. When you Beardie depends on the warmth from these lamps its a bit worrying when they do not stand the test of time. It might be to do with the wattage? I have one for might heating, lower wattage and its been going strong for a while now. This one (second purchase) welded itself to the bulb housing: so now I have to buy another one of these as well! Not too sure where to go from here....
