love ittttt
after using our open hearth fireplace for a few days, we figured out we were actually wasting more money on wood than it was warming up the space 🥲 cause open hearth.spent a couple hours looking online for an electric fireplace/heater and decided to go with this one because of the great reviews and i do not regret it at all!i wanted something to just fit flushed with our fireplace (34” wide, 26” tall, and normal depth of a fireplace) but saw a picture review on here of someone just fitting it right inside of theirs and it looked good so i did the same. i actually love how it fit and looks in ours! kinda blends right in with the black. placed it, plugged it in, and boom, easy peasy!very very minimal sound when the heater part is on, kind of comforting in way and i love how you can just have the flames displaying without heat. the orange setting is obviously more realistic than the other colors.our living area is kind of an open space, connected to kitchen, furnace thermostat is located on the other side of the house, i had the electric heater set to 77 and home thermostat at 64 and the heater was able to keep furnace from kicking on all the time.i, someone who does not read instructions, was messing with the remote and got a little bit frustrated because i was like wth, why isn’t there a display screen to see what im doing with the remote!? and then i pulled the little tab down on the bottom of the fireplace and wahlah! lololanyways, i am just blabbing on now but get this!

A daily winter treat
The old fireplace insert in our RV quit, and the RV name brand replacement was about $950. Uh, no! I found this insert on Amazon, it had good reviews, the price was amazing, and it was the closest in size to the original. My husband did a slight modification to the cabinet to make it right, and I’ll say that it looks better and sharper than the original RV insert. It has 3 flame colors, but I pretty much only use the orange-y yellow setting. The original insert had a more realistic-looking log and flame, but I’m not too bothered about that. I tested the heat function to ensure that it works, and the heat output is good. It’s quiet and seems of good quality. I’ve not tried the timer because I won’t ever use it. It’s easy to clean and dust it

Really pretty good
Better than I thought. It's very quiet with the heat and fan . It's the exact size as they said. And the flame looks convincing. (the lowest of 5 levels looks good to me).The cord comes out the wrong side for me , and so it's short for my needs ,yet a heavy extension cord has done the job. For the price, this is really quite good. I'm thrilled to spare the air of the house, and my wife loves the ambiance.

Great quality for a great price
We loved the electric fireplace that came with our older home, so when it finally stopped working this summer we knew we’d want to replace it before the holiday season. I found this Giantex unit, and it definitely checked all the right boxes. Good reviews, looked fairly realistic, had a glass front, and was the right size. When the price dropped for Black Friday I knew it was finally time to buy it. The fireplace arrived almost a whole week early, which made my wife so happy. We set it up right away, and realized the quality and detail were even better than expected. It is absolutely silent without the heat, and the heat modes are fairly quiet, too. My wife loves the flame dimmer function, and I appreciate the timer so it doesn’t run all night unintentionally. The kids couldn’t be more excited about their favorite colors being flame options, too. It was easy to install, and is definitely an upgrade. So glad we took the risk, since returns would be expensive for the item, and bought it anyway.

Fantastic, cost-effective, great heat unit.
*** Note: 1 Reviewer posted that they don’t know if it works as the remote arrived “dead.” Heads-up, there’s a thin piece of clear plastic on the remote that needs to be gently pulled out to activate the battery. I thought my remote was dead as well, until my teen pulled the clear plastic tag out of it (... and rolled her eyes at me..! Lol).I own a 1700 sq ft colonial home in Buffalo, NY (brrrrrr....) that was built in 1899 (blown-in insulation probably circa 1960-1970 as it’s now settled into the lower 2.5’ portion of my walls...). I have 10’ ceilings and have taken down several walls to give the main floor a more open-concept (probably close to 800/900 sq ft).I purchased the electrical insert:1. Because it is cost-effective;2. To fill a void in a now-defunct wood-burning fireplace hearth/box; 3. For “clean-burning” fireplace effect,4. To supplement my heat in the open, high ceiling living room;5. For ambiance.I am beyond pleased.First, price. Actually, I would have paid double for this unit.Second, easy set up. There was no “set up.” Slide it out of box, place it where you want it. Plug it in. Easy-peas.Third, ambiance. I was extremely, pleasantly surprised. Old electric inserts were so cheesy. This unit has 5 levels of “fire glow” and they look relatively realistic. 3 people have thought it was gas.Fourth, no odor. Outside of the initial plug in and burn off of the residual manufacturing smell (... which only lasted 10 mins), there’s no odor. That’s important as we have asthmatics in the house.Fifth, heat output. This unit has 3 heat levels: no heat, (just flame effect), low and high. Flame effect and heat are controlled separately on the remote. Even the low heat effect has helped on our sub-zero winter wind-chill days here in Buffalo. The unit does supplement my furnace heat and keeps my living room toasty. I’m excited to use it on those “transition” spring and fall days where you just want to take the chill out of the air but don’t want to turn the whole-house furnace on.Sixth, quiet. This unit does have a hum when the heat is blowing (if you only have the fire effect turned on, there’s no noise). The hum is the same on both high and low heat settings; it is not distracting or outrageous.Of course if my power goes out this electric insert won’t help, but I am over-the-moon pleased with the unit as a whole and the glowing fire effect.I am now considering a second unit for another defunct fireplace in my dining room.5-Star unit for sure.
