This is a good product, it would be great if the bolts could be tighten enough for the unit not to move from the preset position, otherwise I still recommend it.

Unlike another mount I tried, the adhesive actually works for this one and allowed me to mount it to my dash. With the other one, I was able to use various kinds of phone magnets (like ring holder, kickstand with magnets) and they would work with the magnet. This one is not like that. The other accessories I use on the back of my phone don't stick to it, so I had to mount the adhesive ring that comes with it. That's somewhat frustrating, because it really limits the area I can use for my ring holder. The ring works with the magnet, but I feel like I have to be pretty careful how I remove the phone from the mount, because it seems like the magnet might pull the ring off the phone. I.e. the magnet seems stronger than the adhesive. Likewise, because the magnet is so strong, I have to use two hands to remove my phone, because otherwise I risk pulling the mount of the dash. I wish there were a happy medium: a magnet strong enough to hold my phone but weak enough that it's easy to remove. The main problem, and the reason for 4 stars, is that the clamp that holds the socket closed for the ball joint -- the piece that allows the mount to point the phone in any direction -- isn't tight enough to hold it in one position with the movement of the car and all. The short version is that the phone droops, and it winds up resting on the mount arm or on the dashboard itself, which basically defeats the purpose of having a jointed arm in the first place. The mount materials are heavy-duty and feel sturdy, and I think the counterbalance of the arm going back before forward is what takes enough pressure off the adhesive to make it stay attached. I'll keep using it unless/until I find something better. It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing.

I was initially excited about this Magnetic Car Phone Holder, as it seemed like a convenient and stylish solution for hands-free use while driving. However, my experience with the product has been disappointing. Firstly, the unit does not stick well to the dashboard as advertised. It's neither stable nor secure. This means that the holder often shifts or falls off while driving, which is not only inconvenient but also dangerous. Instead, it is only able to adhere to the windshield. Cool, but not what I got it for. Additionally, the screws that hold the arms in place need to be constantly adjusted to maintain the desired position. This is not only time-consuming but also frustrating, as it detracts from the convenience of the product. Despite these issues, the metal construction of the holder is solid and the overall appearance is quite attractive. However, the functionality and usability of the product are not up to par, which is why I would not recommend it. If the manufacturer can address the issues with the adhesion and arm positioning, it could be a decent product. However, as it stands, I would not get it again.
