Amazingly, they actually work!
When they arrived, I thought "Oh dear, just wasted my money on some crayons". However, I used them on 4 different surfaces and once I figured out how to get the filler to fill the cracks, wiped it over with some wood oil, they actually worked! I filled in a small hole in our bathroom wood floor and asked my wife to look at it. She could not see where I had done the repair. Will it last - no idea? But I have plenty to last...Be sure to rub the stick thoroughly into the crack and then rub off the excess. Then a light covering of polish or oil should do the trick.
