Fabulous ! Over last 3 years or so I have used Japanese garden tools exclusively but could not find an equivalent high quality lawn grass edger. I read an excellent recommendation on the " fredshed " website about these German high quality tools. The quality & precision of the blades ( almost Japanese quality ) , light weight & especially the handle adjustability being particularly helpful for my wife who is the main user. She has just whizzed around the edges of about half our large rear lawn in about 1 minute ,yes 1 minute , over edges that would have taken her about 15 minutes with our 4 year old blunt , heavy Wilkinsons - Game over & no going back for us !

Very well made. I have had others that were too flimsy and bent or made of steel and too heavy. I find the adjustment is great for me as it saves my back with no bending to do. The main feature of these though is how incredibly sharp they are and how easily the cut without any effort at all. I whizzed around my borders twice in the first week and I can almost do ti at walking pace as the cutters have no resistance.Some say they are heavy. They are heavier than some but this does not much affect the effort required as the handles allow you to get just the right length and they more or less rest on the ground as you cut.I am nearly 6ft and My wife is 5ft yet there is more adjustment than either of us needs.

We cut our lawn edges each time we mow but I have never been impressed by lawn edging shears. They can be awkward to use - unbalanced, with handles not holding adjustment. Most require frequent sharpening, and adjustment of the blades is difficult yet crucial for a good cut.At last I have found a product that is far superior, at a price not too much more than competitors. The CK Classic G5057 edging shears, whilst a little heavier than some, are beautifully made (a real 'engineering job') and can be easily adjusted for comfort (pull the knob to alter handle length). They cut superbly, making the task much easier (CK even say they are self sharpening). My wife and I love them, and our lawn edges have improved enormously since our purchase. I strongly recommend them.

These sheers I can recommend as they are easy to use and help me to keep my lawn edges neat. Very sharp and give a clean sharp edge.

They are just as they are described - light, easy to use and cut beautifully. So simple to adjust length of handles and they are very manoeuvrable. Wish I’d bought them months ago as the job is so much easier now. Excellent product.
