This litter box was delivered on time and in perfect condition. After looking at many Stainless Steal litter boxes and reading the reviews, I choose this one, based on Quality, Price and Positive Reviews. There are no Cons from me. Perfect size, easy too put together. I’m 79 yrs old, and have had cats since I was 19 and only using Plastic litter boxes. WOW, what a game changer. My cat transformed easily. With the open box, she can enter and exit much easier. NO lingering smells. With any litter box you are always going to have litter on the floor. With this one it’s near to nothing, and I don’t use a mat anymore. Easier to use a Swiffer dust mop on the floor. I also changed to Worlds Best Cat Litter in the red bag. It was dusty in the plastic covered box. With this open box, that doesn’t happen. It is easy to remove clumps. Doesn’t stick to anything like clay litter. I highly recommend this seller and stainless steel litter box. *****Update: This litter box is NOT scratch free. With one cat there are 2 scratches on this litter box. I’m not happy about this. Just hope it doesn’t rust out in those places.

We purchased the open top model (Amazon seems to be mixing reviews for the open and closed (the one with the round hole in the top) versions). It's GRRRREAT (as Tony the Tiger used to say!). First, it's incredibly sturdy. Not that anyone's going to stand on it, but this should last for YEARS. Stainless doesn't hold smells like plastic can. It's nice and big, giving our two cats plenty of room to move around (they aren't huge, one's 11 and the other 10 lbs as adults), so I have no doubt that bigger (15-18 lb kitties) would do fine with this. Specifically bought this, with the high sides, because our little fella was peeing outside the back of our old box (which had a fairly high back wall, but still a couple inches shorter than this). No such problems any more! As a proof of concept I first (before sinking the big $ into this) bought a plastic bottom/top box. It worked, but was smaller and did NOT have the EXCELLENT design feature that this has - the plastic top edges OVERRIDE the upper lip of the stainless steel base/box. So even if little Lyle tinkles on the upper plastic part, the urine does not leak outside the box! Another reviewer said that it was hard to clean. I disagree. I think that it will depend more on the LITTER that you use. We use Dr. Elsey's and while there may be a slight sticking if there's a lot of urine in one spot, it easily comes off, especially after lifting up a big wet glob, then pushing a little dry litter over it and give it one more pass, away it goes. I've owned cats for nearly 50 years, and always used plastic boxes until now, and this is absolutely no worse, definitely BETTER than ANY plastic box I've EVER used! Now also I think the scooper you use will make a difference, too. The tiny little "toy" scooper they provide w/the system is, IMHO, useless. We've long used a metal (aluminum alloy) scooper (like the WePet you can find on Amazon) and its stiffness helps. Truly, difficult cleaning has NOT been an issue. Another reviewer had a concern that the rolled edges of the stainless steel box hadn't been done well, and that he/she got cut. I hope that they complained and got a new box, that's inexcusable for the manufacturer to ship something that could hurt someone. But having read that review, virtually the first thing I did was visually check the rolled edges and then ran my fingers all along every inch of the one we got, and NO problem with this. Hopefully that was a one-off problem that was corrected at the factory, but no way ours could cut someone. I would have sent it back immediately if there was an issue! The top plastic part is well made, it's a very solid, stiff plastic and it latches (one latch on each of the long sides) quickly and easily to the bottom steel; no way it can come off accidentally (for example when cat jumps out). You purposefully have to slightly pull out the latch on one side, release it then tilt and the other side releases itself; I can take the top off with one hand. I personally think that it's easier to clean the pan by taking the top off (you can better reach the front corners of the box) but it isn't mandatory to remove; I've done it both ways but prefer to take it off. And reattaching is easy - gently push down the top plastic edge over one latch, then over the other, there's a definite snap that you hear and it's latched down. This also ensures that the needed overlap (see above) of the top over the bottom occurs so that urine drains down the INside of the box. There are some slots in the front edge where the cat enters/exits, but I will say that this is NOT a "trackless" box. Some litter still sticks in their little paws, but it's no worse than any of the myriad of other boxes I've used over the years and yes, maybe a little better, but there's no miracle here. Bottom line - go for something good - buy once, cry once, but know you're getting a really good product. I bought this with my own money, and this is my honest review after a couple month's use. I did find that it went on sale, which is when I got it - if you're interested keep an eye on it for a while, or use Camel Camel Camel to see if it's a good price historically. I do NOT regret anything, except that I waited so long to get one!!!

The litter box came as promised on time and handled beautifully. I was thrilled with the litter box because it is much better than the description . It is much better than I dreamed of: very light as I have weak arms, and I could lift it with no trouble with or without litter, scooping up the debris was easy because it's very smooth and slippery on the floor of the box.. It makes it easy to scoop up. The extra high sides are wonderful. It contains the extra high walls scratch out of the box so the cleanup is easy. But RUFUS, you were the one that helped the most. Thank you for being there and helping me decide which litter box not only to buy, but which one would fit properly. You are a tremendous help and with the speed of lightning. Please continue the service as it is excellent and much appreciated and so is the litter box I recommend this litter box to anyone with a cat large or small (my cat is 18 lbs.) as it fits the description exactly.

This is a very good litter box. The two halves snap together reasonably well. I’m slightly concerned that the plastic connector will wear down over time. But until that happens, this is working great. One of my cats unfortunately pees straight back, which is why an enclosed litter box is essential. The way that the plastic portion hangs over the stainless steel bin means that her mess remains completely contained. I have experienced no pee leaking overtop of the steel bin. I also really like the way the top slopes to catch as much of the extra litter as possible. However, it doesn’t get nearly all of it, so a litter mat is still absolutely necessary. Finally, the ability to clean the box really is easy. The plastic wipes clean, and the stainless steel is scratch-resistant and doesn’t hold in odors.

I Like the box. It’s Extra Large so my cats can move in it and pick their spot. Easy to clean. The sides and back are high enough so the litter doesn’t get thrown out. It is a little heavier than the XL plastic box I also have. The little step or lip at the front is never used by my cats. They always jump/step over it so they do have litter on their feet when they leave the box. It has the four rubber discs that you stick on the bottom so the box doesn’t move, that works well. However, since I wash the box regularly, the discs have moved so I can see them coming off in time. I don’t know how well the box will stay in place without the round rubber disc, but I guess having them on a rubber mat may help.

Excellent cat liter box ! I love the stainless steel bottom and the ease of cleaning it . Super easy to assemble and I ordered the biggest size so my cat has so much room and space ! She loved it ! I love the little step up that catches the cat litter on her paws as she exits the box . It definitely made my life so much easier - rarely do I see any cat litter on the floor since using this new litter box . It's huge ! She is very comfortable with so much space . By far the best cat litter box I have ever had ! Tall sides that keep her kicking out cat all the litter and like I said she loves it ! I have tried the expensive self cleaning ones and they are awful - they never work right or work long - usually they quit working about the time my return window closes and let's be honest they stink , so I have given up on auto cleaning cat liter boxes , altogether , until they start making them to last and to actually work correctly ! This one has absolutely made my life so much easier ! If I had more than one cat , the biggest one like I have would be ideal , like I said there is plenty of room ! It is well made and durable and super easy to clean . The best investment for such a low cost! I am extremely happy and shockingly impressed! I honestly didn't expect it to be as good as the " reviews " claimed . I'm mostly happy that she loves it and took to it immediately upon set up and I have to admit, Mommy is over joyed about less work and no cat litter all over my beautiful real hard wood floors! Also the stainless steel pan is amazing!!!!! It doesn't hold the stinky smell of cat urine ( gag ) like plastic does - even my guests have asked if I no longer have a cat - because there is no stinky cat urine smell !! That is probably the biggest plus ! How embarrassed I became when I found out that as clean as I kept the others and even with the high quality cat litter I used , it did not mask the stinky cat urine smell ! Geez ! Nothing is more embarrassing than guests smelling cat urine as we seem to become nose blind to it! ( I always spent the extra couple bucks for brand name good clumping , dust free cat litter because that makes a huge difference- but apparently not so much with plastic ) No more smell ! Happy kitty ! Happy Mommy! Best purchase ever !!!!! FYI - I paid full price for this and this is my honest review- I received NO incentive whatsoever , no reduction in price - if you check my profile you will see I only leave written lengthy reviews when an item exceeds my expectations and is beyond exceptional or quite the opposite of that - for those awful , disappointing purchases, you know , the very worst products that I purchase . I do this to help others - because there are far too many 5 star reviews and extremely high ratings and reviews that are coerced today by influencers, discounts , incentives or free products in lieu of leaving those same 5 star and exceptional reviews and we all know this to be true ! AMAZING. Holds a lot of litter, and the litter functions much better than in regular plastic cat boxes. I find I'm using less litter, it cleans easier, and more efficiently. There is minimal smell because I am able to capture all the used litter each day. The box is sturdy but without being difficult to use. My cat had no issues with the transition from his old box to this one. The handled scoop included with the box is also the best I've ever used. At the same time, we incorporated a litter 'catch mat' and all of our litter problems have disappeared. The combination has been a total game changer.

This litter box is so great, that I bought a second one!! I LOVE the high walls. No debris "escapes"...it all stays where it should. It even has a small "grate" of sorts, so that stray litter on paws, falls back into the box, rather than on the floor near the entrance of the box. The upper walls fit OVER the bottom walls, another reason no debris escapes. EASY to clean and offers pets privacy. It is large, so it does require a lot of litter, depending on your pet's needs. It also comes with a litter 'scoop' to help remove the debris. As a test, when I bought the first one, I placed it next to the low wall litter box. My cats both used the new, tall walled litter box and stopped using the low wall one!! So, cat approved!
