Love this lock!
UPDATE: I don't know why the others have had such a problem with this lock. It has been great for me! It did lose wifi connection but other than that, it's worked flawlessly for the people who use it and still recognized my finger.I finally found a lock for my back gate! Love everything about it, except it needs much better instructions on programming. Mainly the various features. It took me a long web search to find out how to unlock it from my phone.

Terrible instructions & does not connect to WIFI
The instructions are very poor and difficult to follow. There are multiple places for the wires from the controller, to go to. The instructions do not tell you where. There are 2 identical connectors for 1 cable. You have to guess. The most frustrating part, is the locks inability to connect to WIFI. I tried for hours, multiple ways. This is my replacement lock, the first I returned as defective for the same issue. I purchased a similar lock, from a different manufacturer and it connected immediately. So I know it's the manufacturer. I contacted Amazon support and they suggested downloading a different app, one that is not referred to in the instructions. The lock still did not work. I wanted a lock that I can Open and Close remotely that I could install on a Gate. This is not the lock for that purpose. ps. I have installed over 50 WIFI locks in the past and this was the most frustrating of all of them.

Defective
This lock worked great for about a month (once I figured out how to change the language). I paid more than the price of the lock for professional installation. Weeks later, I found that the lock isn't waterproof as advertised AND the lock now opens for any fingerprint whether registered or not. No response from vendor & now I'm out the cost of the lock & the installation. I wouldn't trust the vendor enough to buy again.

Larger than expected
I didn't have the opportunity to install this item because it was larger and bulkier than I expected. Return was easy.
