Very good quality, easy to fit.
Very good quality and easy to fit. Bought to replace my original with a broken door due to wind damage and decided to buy a second one to match as it looked so good. The locks, hinges and overall construction are very good quality and the door can be hung to hinge from either side. Also included is a reversible plastic insert to label the box appropriately with an "E" or "G" depending on the service within. When fitting make sure you fit the door so that that the latch is orientated "up" and drops down to lock the door not the other way around as this is why most doors swing open and break... the wind rattles them and eventually the latch drops down to open the door. With it correctly orientated if it rattles in the wind it will only serve to engage the locking bar further so that the wind can't shake the door loose causing it to open. Very easy to fit over the existing old cabinet, just remove the old door leaving the cabinet frame in place and this fits over/around the old one. This does make it slightly larger than the original installation though so if your cabinets are particularly close together or have another obstruction very close by then these may not be suitable but for 99% of the time they will be perfect.

Looks so good
This is so easy to fit and looks so great. Makes the front of the house loom so fresh. Very well made and like the fact it comes with a metal key rather than the usual plastic

You are paying for the solution not the plastic
As others have said - straightforward for a competent DIYer to fit - 6 screws into the brick and fits over the existing cover. You do need something to cut away the bottom to accomodate the gas pipes - I used a holesaw for this, but a hacksaw or multi-tool would also work. The cover is high gloss plastic so I removed the door before fitting to avoid scratches. The door is reversible, as others mentioned ensure the latch falls down to lock so it can't rattle open in the wind. All in all you are paying for the solution not the plastic so yes expensive for what it is, but a cheap way and simple to fix a damaged meter box.

Don’t fit it upside down!
Yes, you can fit it upside down. I did! In my photo you will see the “gap” or “inset” is at the top in my photo. Make sure you fit it at the BOTTOM. The door catch is designed to work best with this gap at the bottom. Fit it the other way around and the catch can vibrate into the unlocked position. I have rectified this on mine, but learn from my mistake. Other than that, the box is exactly as others say. Easy to fit, looks lovely afterwards. One other thing. If, like me, you have an inset steel electric box with a full length piano hinge on the door, you will need to drill out the rivets that fix the door to the case to remove the old door. When they start to spin, they can be remove by chiselling the last bit off. (Old flat head screwdriver & a hammer). Secondly, you will need to screw two 15mm / 3/4” battens or furring strips on each side of the old box to give you the additional depth you need as those steel boxes are deeper than 66mm. Screw the cover to the strips and seal around with white silicon.

Meter boxes cover
Fits well over old meter boxes when the door has broken. Bit fiddly when fitting to the wall with the screws as there's not much room to hold screw in place straight, but we managed it with s few choice words! Don't let that put you off thou. Its smart and does the job.
