This is one of the best product experiences I’ve had in a long time from amazon, and that says a lot! I used one full package and applied using the interlocking method; it took about 10 hours total over two days (one person doing all the cutting, measuring, applying, trimming, etc, with kids around). I’ve included some before, during and after photos. We also added a shelf and cast iron brackets, shown in the photos. We absolutely love the outcome, and it changed the whole room for less than $200 total!Here are some notes and hopefully helpful tips if you’re considering this item:*I applied this to a fireplace surround, on the external parts only. We live in Southern California though, so fires are few and far between. Use your best judgment and common sense if you plan to apply this around a fireplace.The good: tiles are lightweight and easy to work with, odorless, clean, and thick with a satin finish. Not as shiny as I was afraid they might be, but just slightly more sheen than a matte finishThey are incredibly easy to trim using the included knife (I believe I went through 4 blades on the whole project)Tiles are forgiving, with a tiny bit of “stretch” to them so you can easily fix errors and cover gapsI cut from both the front and back depending on the step I was on, and you get a clean cut either wayThe tiles are square and even, making measuring and cutting consistently easyThe bad: the measuring tool included in the package wasn’t helpful at all, and I couldn’t figure out how to use it. The best tools were a 24” x 6” quilting ruler, and a couple smaller square quilting rulers for cutting the small pieces off if you go with the interlocking method (see pic)Cutting out the smaller pieces takes a while, factor that in if you’re in a time crunchPeeling the backing off makes a much bigger mess than I was expecting, so have at least two trash bags on hand for the trash and scrapsThe ugly: while cutting out the smaller pieces for interlocking, it does take extra time AND reduces the square footage you’re left to work with. I thought I would have about 8-10 sq ft left over, but found myself with just enough to squeak it all outAll in all, I would highly recommend this. It’s fast, affordable, easy to install, and adds such a fresh style to the room. Because of COVID I’ve only been able to share the results with friends through photos, but the compliments are high.

I have been trying to figure out a way to get some warmth in my parents bedroom. They have one wall that just seems to get very cold. I have put a new window and did some other things, yet still very cold. Came across the DeElf 3D Brick Wallpaper when I searched inside wall insulation. To be honest I was not sure if this was going to work, there was not a lot of reviews saying yes or no on the matter. Well I ordered and was shocked to see how big each piece really was. I know they gave measurements, however I was still surprised! They come perfectly packed with their own cutters with extra blades and a type of ruler that I have yet to figure out. The only thing was mine was missing instructions, however after reading on it and reading some reviews it was pretty easy to figure out how to do (Still not sure where the ruler comes into play) it only took me a few minutes or so to get the right cuts to make it fit. You cut the small brick out on each side, but make sure you watch your lines when cutting the next piece. One piece will have just the brick cut, the next full piece will have the brick and grout cut to make it fit together right. It is very flexible and forgiving, so even if your cut is not perfect don’t worry you will make it work. I do like the look better with cutting into the brick shapes to fit into each other rather then just putting up the wallpaper without! You can see the seam a bit more. It will take you a little longer but gives a nicer look in my opinion and once you get going it really is not that bad. It cuts great with what they supply you to use. Also after installing I did go through and caulk the seems around any cracks of uneven cuts and cuts made around windows and floors and such just because of the cold issue and blend in. Again very simple to do. Over all it was a pretty easy project that did not consume a ton of time. More time was used cutting the pieces then applying them. And yes I can honestly say that when I touch their wall now it is not no where near as cold as it was before I installed. The bonus....It really looks wonderful! I will be doing a few projects in my house just for the looks not the cold!
