This is a great bit for the price, similar to Myler brand, however the barrel joint SQUEAKS like a mad man. All the time. I will explore safe options to quiet it, but I still use it as is.

Update 04/22/19 — I was contacted by the company this past weekend. They are replacing my bit. This is GREAT customer service. I had requested a replacement or refund, but wasn't sure, after a year of use, whether it could be honored or not. I'm impressed that the company recognized that the bit should have been more durable. I will not hesitate to purchase from this reseller again. Update 04/09/19 — I wrote the review below a year ago, almost to the day. Tonight I was riding in said bit and it broke in half. It's fortunate my mare knows what whoa means. Just glad I wasn't on a trail ride. It could have been a horrible accident. I've seen two others who have had the same issue. Maybe not so great a product after all. "I purchased this bit in the hopes my mare would like it, and sure enough it works great. She's very picky about what's in her mouth, so it was a very pleasant surprise to get a snaffle bit that FINALLY works. It fits her like it was made for her. Great product!"

I prefer Myler bits, but this bit is very similar and well made. It works great with my new horse.

My horse seems to really like this bit so far!

I bought this bit for my daughter's horse hoping he would do well with it and he did. Good control yet very easy on his mouth. The ring insures he won't get pinced. I ordered another for my horse as well.

Less than a year of owning this bit and it snapped in half during a ride. Saw a previous review that had a same issue - this could have led to a serious accident. Do not recommend.

Works really well for my mare. We have been using this while starting her under saddle.
