Q: If my jeans are 48 what is recommended size?

It will depend on waist and inseam. See my video size chart for 48 waist. Fit notes for my husband for sizing reference: * He is 5’10, weighs 152 lbs and usually wears 30/32 in jeans. These were very fitted in his regular waist size but looked the best on him - like the model for the white joggers. The next size up fit well for a more comfy, loose fit like the model for the heather grey joggers. It will depend on what type of fit you want. He kept a small and 2 mediums for regular, comfortable every day joggers. Small regular (30.5-31.5 waist) Would definitely need to wash cold and hang dry or dry on low. Medium regular (32.5- 34.5 waist) *were a little loose but after wash/dry - they are comfortable with slightly loose fit like on the model for grey heather and navy color.

Q: Looking for something that won't make me overheat in a brisk workout, so ...how thin/thick is the material?

bought these for my teen. definitely not light enough to be workout pants. not as heavy as fleece but not lightweight either
