Perfect - Accurate, Repeatable, Fast & Easy, Comes with Calibration Cert (w/ Data)
Just what I needed/wanted. Solid, quality construction, will last me a lifetime (or until I screw up and forget it at a job site). Incredibly simple learning curve. Three buttons / accurate and repeatable measurements. No instructions needed, but I recommend you take 60 seconds to read them. Can be used with or without a phone/tablet. Disconnect the phone/tablet and the device switches to its illuminated screen. Connect the phone/tablet, and the device shows illuminates bluetooth icon. I didn't expect to want wireless connectivity, but on my first use, I needed it. BT connectivity could not be more seamless compared to all my other gadgets. I do a quick calibration before each use, although I don't believe its necessary (takes ~45 sec). I can photo-document that process to CYA and then get to work. Fast and reliable at a better price point than everything else I researched. Very happy with this tool.

Precision Instrument - well made
Used this to level some milling equipment in my home shop. Plan to use in near future to accurately align the level of a telescope pier/mount to be used for astrophotography. Product has a precision base, and, is easy to set up for absolute level measurement by just making two measurements 180 degrees apart. Is factory calibrated, and came with a calibration data sheet. Can be user calibrated, but haven't done that as the factory cal is quite good for my needs. The only thing I'd say is slightly negative, is, did not come with two AA batteries, and fortunately comes with a small pictorial of how batteries are to be installed as the +/- markings might be ambiguous to some as to whether marking is for the end of the battery closest to the user or not, as the batteries slide in lengthwise.

Precise but not accurate
I tested this against several other digital angle gauges in the $20-30 range and, for the price point and the fact that this came with a certificate of calibration, I had high hopes for this unit. Ultimately, though, it turned out that while it was precise and delivered the same readings over and over again, its accuracy left something to be desired. On a precision granite surface (certified), I placed a machinist's v-block (2 blocks were used for the purpose of the pictures, but just one was used for actual evaluation) and checked its level with a Starrett 98-6 machinist's level (calibrated and certified). The Digi-Pas read 0.11° high on the right side (reading in the picture only shows 1 digit due to refresh rate of the LCD) when the Starrett was nearly perfectly level. I turned this level 180° and now it read 0.11° high on the left side. My suspicion is that the inaccuracy is due to the base of this unit. It is a cast piece, aluminum I believe, not hardened and precision ground steel as would be desired for this type of equipment.I only evaluated along the one axis of the unit and only with the local read-out. I did not try the mobile app because I didn't want to redeem the code in case I chose to return this item. Ultimately, if you had a precision level surface to set as a reference it could deliver good measurements until that reference was lost, but as a standalone level it is not much more reliable than the much cheaper units.

accurate and easy to use
some of my job need accurate leveling, this is the prefect tool for this purpose. it is easy to use, you do not need to watch the level but your cellphone to read it. I like it.

Good Level to get a Machine Leveled Quickly
This level comes with a nice carrying case that will last many years. It works with the app on a smartphone or Iphone, great for seeing what the level is doing on your phone while lying on the floor. Easy to use and easy to calibrate. NEGATIVES- This level is not very accurate, compared to a bubble level it was off by at least 50microns. After calibrating the level several times to be certain as per the app instructions.

User Friendly & Works Fantastic for Our Unique Application
Last March I bought the DWL 1300 Digi-Pas Machinist Level for a very unique use. The problem was this, the operator of a piece of heavy equipment needed to known if the implement was level prior to use without exiting the operators cab over and over to check the implement was level. Our solution was to mount the Digi-Pas level on the piece of heavy equipment, given that the Digi-Pas is bluetooth enabled this allowed the operator to stay in the cab while still being sure that the implement was level and operating correctly. I was concerned about the dust and external temperatures causing the Digi-Pas to malfunction, but 14 or so months down the road no problems. Great product Digi-Pas

Used Item
I do not appreciate receiving a used item when I spend over $200 dollars. I will reorder and return the first one.

This is a great level.
This is the third DWL 1300 I had brought. I use it to install Germany made equipment that needs a high quality. This is the best level for the money. I would say just about anyone could use this level. Some times the app act up but just turn it off then back on again and it works.
