Fellowes Shredder Oil for Micro Cut and Cross Cut Paper Shredders, 355ml - Shredder Oil Lubricant

The size is just right for ease of use, storeage and handling. Gentle squeeze seems to do the job when it comes to use on our small household shredder. The blades certainly worked smother and the runtime extended before the motor needed to cool. It looks like a quality thin machine oil, so I have to accept that. Given this is in effect a disposable oil, the residue being wicked away as the paper is shredding, durability seems a moot point. The same applies to ease of emptying. As to the shredder getting hot, that is again a moot point but I can say that it took longer for it to get hot.

My fellowes shredder was struggling to get through 10 pages without overheating. I checked online advice and quickly realised that shredder oil was a requirement that I had never appreciated. This arrived quickly, is a good size for the price and was easy to apply. The shredder has been performing much better since we started yo use the pil.

You just don’t really realise how much you need a reliable, hungry workhorse shredder with all the identity fraud and people stealing your information having a shredder just sat next to the letterbox is fantastic, junk mail, anything that’s not worth keeping or opening is automatically shredded, but then I realised surely these needs maintenance like a hair cutting clipper blade? So I purchased 2 bottles and they are big bottles, I use a small amount after each bin empty on my shredded, take out my cuttings, place BBQ lighter fluid over it spark a cigarette and throw it into the bin and put lid on after each bin empty, ZERO chance of anyone getting my personal information, do i recommend this oil? Absolutely I spent £200 on my shredder in the sales and I hope it lasts a long time, time will tell, but I have noticed with the oil I’ve seen less struggle with feeding thick 18/20 sheets into my shredder in one fail swoop, less heat from inside the bin however it’s always been a great cool shredder so I can’t comment if the oil helps with that, but maintaining the blades are a must and your warranty may not cover you if you fail to maintain it with lubricants, takes 2 seconds leave the bottle in the sideboard or in it and put always do it after each bin empty

Great product. My shredder was jamming up so ordered this oil, ran it through the machine and it's running perfectly again.

well - i’m not sure if I’m reviewing the oil or the fellowes cross shredder we just bought. The shredder worked perfectly and once the waste bin was full I followed the instructions in the booklet by running the shredder backwards for a few seconds and then did one pass of oil through the paper slot. The next time I came to use the shredder it didn’t work. On investigation I could see a mushed up mass of shredded paper in the cutters - it wouldn’t move by turning the shredder on in either direction. Had to get a fine screwdriver and spent 30 mins clearing the paper from the slot and then hoovering up the mess! Shredder now works fine again but I guess you need to make sure there’s absolutely no paper shreds inbetween the cutters before you apply the oil - easier said than done

I’ve had my shredder for years but I didnt know that I should use oil on it, but a few months ago, I noticed that the sound had changed. I had planned to buy a new one but saw this oil, so looked into it, I used it yesterday for the first time, left it to soak for a few minutes, used the shredder, then used the oil again. I hope that second drop will soak in and aid me next time I use the shredder. I have to say though, it seem to sound better and there are now no hard paper clumps stuck in the blades. It’s all nice and clean.

Original Fellows shredder oil. Useful for maintaining the efficiency of shredders. This helps lubricate the moving parts. However, it may not remove any residue of gum or glue, which often comes with paper that is being shredded. I'm not sure whether there's a solution for that, or if the shredder should be opened up and cleaned with a suitable material. As far as this product is concerned, it is a lubricant that has been time-tested to perform its intended function. A bit expensive in India as it's imported, and thus 1 star less.

A light oil that does the job well.

Achetée pour utiliser avec ma broyeuse de papier. Satisfait, fonctionne correctement. Par contre, attention à bien essuyer à la fin pour ne pas mettre de l'huile partout !
