Best Risotto rice I've ever had and I'm originally from the most "risotto" area of Italy.It's pricey.

This rice is by far the best for risotto and puddings. It may seem like a lot to spend on just rice but the difference is quite marked. It holds moisture and flavour better and has a lovely soft creamy consistency well worth the cost.

I have been making pretty good risottos for years, but somewhere I stumbled across Acquerello. I think it was a foodie television programme. I decided to try some, even though it was quite a bit more expensive than my usual carnaroli rice. It takes risotto to a totally different level. Somehow, it seems to absorb all of the flavours better, and has the perfect texture. It may be a bit more expensive, but it is worth every penny. I will never go back to mundane carnaroli. Astonishing stuff!

The flavour of this Acquerello Risotto rice is second to none - well maybe second to their longer aged variety. This risotto rice is seriously hands-done the best you can get. So, if you regularly buy the store brand or green box risotto at your local grocery, order Acquerello and give it a try. I tried the smaller tin version to start (500g) and since have been buying the 2.5kg bag and just filling the tin for keeping handy in the kitchen with the bag in the pantry.
