I have 2 mischievous husky/shepherd pups. They chew everything they shouldn't. I got a medium for my female (10.5" circumference, 3" length) and a large for my male (11" circumference, 4" length). First day both muzzles fell off their faces after about 30 minutes. After adjustments the medium on my female has been working okay. The large for my male is just not working. The smallest setting is still too large for him. I tried the medium on him, but that's too tight at it's largest setting. I ended up shortening the main strap on the large by folding it over and wrapping it with nylon string. Also important to note - the strap on the top of the head is too soft, can't hold secure, and slides around. This accounts for how he gets his muzzle off. He rubs his head all over the ground, moving the top strap, then paws the sides of the muzzle to get it off. So basically he ends up wearing a muzzle necklace. Several times I actually found it on the ground and now the buckle is chewed up. I do think the muzzle is fairly comfortable, but not strong enough for my dog....and he's still only 10 months old.11/17/23 - Adding a picture of the muzzle 1 day after the review above.

Good product but I seriously question why they use leather straps to hold the muzzle in place

My dog has become very reactive with visitors at the house. Of course he's not happy about this muzzle BUT it works. He nipped at a family member once and I bought this immediately. I love that it's mesh, breathable and easy to put on. He hasn't figured out how to take it off. It helps so much with that initial meeting and to take the bite risk totally out of the situation helps so much. I'm hoping with some training we can end this behavior but I'm so happy we found this. I went ahead and bought a smaller one for my little dog for vet visits!

Good deal for the price but the sizes are WAY too big as others have noted. A "small" was too big for my beagle.

It helps with my dog and he is no longer biting his sister ears

I was not impressed with this whatsoever I had a dog I was fostering for the shelter and he was definitely in need of a good muzzle and this was not it I gave it to the shelter and they won't even use it cuz they even agreed this is not a good muzzle it might work for some people but it didn't work for us.
