Okay, warning, I'm a bit of a dork/health nut, I actually LIKE scents like citronella, and herbs that may be considered medicinal tasting or woodsy (I used to work at The Herb Bar in Austin, TX) and IF I think it's also GOOD for me? I'm sold! I'm in love (kind of how I base my relationships too - kidding ha ha). Okay, back to this mouth wash. What I LOVE: 1. It's GOOD for you and NATURAL - I have periodontal disease (basically my gums bleed and I have tarter build up). The herbs in this I feel really help my gums - my next dentist visit is 8/5/13 - so we will see but since using this I have been motivated to FLOSS (which I hate) at least 3 or 4x a week! 2. LOVE the taste - now - listen up? You listening? IF you do NOT like the taste of natural stuff i.e. herbs you will not like this - it does taste like herbal medicine - because that's what it is. IF you are used to the "blue stuff" (you know the brands) you will need some time to get used to this but I literally keep this in my mouth for 15 minutes (not sure if that's good or not...) But I love the taste. What I don't like 1. I wish it was a bit cheaper 2. I wish it came in a bigger bottle - because I'm addicted to it. By the way? I tried Dr. Katz TheraBreath Oral Rinse and I was like "What is this? Um? Water? I was SO disappointed - I actually had some remaining generic HEB mouthwash (blue mint is my favorite or WAS) and added it to this bc I'm too cheap to throw things out - it was the ONLY way I felt like I had something besides water in my mouth. ;-( Buck Periowash is it for me!!! I am hooked - LOVE this stuff!! Please make it in a bigger bottle!! Put it this way, I'm doing a lot of reviews today because I have some time at work (bad employee...I know) THIS product is one of MY favorite OUT of everything I have ordered ever on Amazon. And I've been on Amazon since hmmm...I think about 10 years? Anyway, I've spent WAY too much $$$ here (oh but I love you Amazon!!!) and it's saying A LOT when I say this is one of my favorite things I've every ordered. ***But remember, don't be mad at my review if you cannot handle the taste of herbs - if you spit your mouth wash out because it burns or doesn't taste good - you don't have the right stuff for this. ;-) NOT to say it burns, I'm saying it's got a nice, earthy, medicinal taste to it. Yeah!

If you're ANYTHING Like Me.. You want pure as possible ingredients, well,,, in anything RIGHT?!! Including something we use every day like Mouthwash...I tried making my own, but >> A).it didn't taste very good B.)it doesn't last very long, even when you keep it in the fridge & C.) it was still expensive with pure ingredients ... so I decided to get this mouthwash it seems to have the most pure ingredients of many I've researched, and more cost effective than my homemade as I had to keep throwing my homemade out every week when it went bad...and YES I made it "Right" did tons of research... ANYWAY.... some peeps said this isn't the same as it used to be as far as taste / strength ?? I wouldn't know it from "before" All I know is it seems very consistent to me and I've been using it for awhile now... and just received another order of it. I like that they send you 2 bottles, in 1 order so it can last awhile..and I find the flavor not over-powering but refreshing..it doesn't "burn" my mouth, just makes it feel clean and fresh... I Like that!! Hope this helps you because I had to do sooooo much research... took a long time... and I found this one the BEST!!! RECOMMEND!!!!

I have always had issues with my teeth and gums and this product has really helped along with the toothpaste made by same company.

We were looking for mouthwash without artificial sweeteners, which is hard to find. This tastes good. We will buy it again.

Update: Taking it to four stars. My husband has tried this and does not think it is hot at all. He sometimes uses Listerine, and says this is not hot compared to that. I am watering it down a little to use it. I do really like it, leaves my mouth feeing nice, and I love the ingredient list, so I am continuing to buy it and use it, and I am getting used to it. Original review: I'm really trying to give this a try. I have a genetic tooth issue that has led to lots of other dental issues. Long story short,I've been having pain and some swelling ever since I had some oral surgery many months ago. I have very bad dental insurance and I can't afford to keep going back to the dentist, so I'm trying other alternatives. I have been trying to use this. I ordered the cool mint, but it is very hot. I could never use Listerine because the burn was so bad, and I'm having the same problem with this. I can't keep it in long at all, so I'm not sure that it is going to do much for me. I'm going to try watering it down just so I can use it, and hopefully it will still be effective that way. From the other reviews it sounds like a nice product, but if you are sensitive to the "burn" of products like I am, it might be hard for you to use.

I've been using this mouthwash ever since I found Nature's Answer - Perio Rub Gel, .5 oz gel for toothaches and that got rid of the worst toothache I ever had in my life after a half drilled cavity was packed hard with filling right next to a tooth that was taken out by my dentist. No pain before I went into the dentist but a crapload when I got out. It was the worse pain I ever had in my life and it lasted for over a week until the day after I rubbed some PerioRub on it. Not only did it get rid of the pain and swelling about 1-4 days after using it, it cleared out any bad bacteria that could've made me sick. That stuff saved me from getting another tooth taken out. I was trying to save it but the pain was so bad I just wanted it out. This mouthwash is just as good as the PerioGel. I haven't had to make a trip to the dentist since with anything major going on in my mouth. I had just got done putting out over $2000 out of pocket on dental visits for major issues I was having. This mouthwash stops any dental problems before they start, since I started using it every night not only have my teeth stayed problem free for the first time in a lonng time, but if I ever bite down on something too hard and then rinse my mouth secs after with this mouthwash the pain and swelling is gone. Before I started using this if I bit down on something too hard I'd have tooth pain for days to weeks before it healed on its own if at all. My teeth are a lot stronger too. Some of my teeth were cracking and a couple I had to get filled actually broke after I ate something hard. Since I've been rinsing with the mouthwash every night I've had no problems at all eating hard food. That's a big thing because it was happening over the last couple years. I use this plus Auromere toothpase, peroxide and Listerine just to make sure I don't have to make another weekly trip to the dentist anytime soon and I've had no problems at all. It's been working really good.

I have tried many natural rinses, from PerioTherapy, The Natural Dentist, Toms of Maine and others. None compare to PerioWash. The bottles I have feature the new packaging. I am not crazy about mint, but even their mint flavor is refreshing. The Cinnamon is my favorite. It has a wonderful, herbal scent and a great taste that zings! It is very soothing to my teeth and gums. Combined with the PerioBrite toothpaste, this is essential for great oral care. I love the CoQ10, Orgegano and herbs in the formula. While it does have a strong taste, (which I love since it really tastes clean), it is best not to eat or drink for 10 minutes after using to let this sink into your gums. I first used this with a toothache and it really healed my inflamed gums (along with the PerioRub and PerioBrite toothpaste). This is the best rinse I have ever used. I believe that you will love it too. The taste might be strong for some, one friend described it as similar to Scope, but it is much healthier for your teeth and gums. Can't recommend this enough!
