Bought as an adult learner. Im either getting really good or the scale studies make for pleasant listening. My neighbours have stopped complaining. Lots of different studies, to help your muscles memory learn the notes no matter what scale your in the mood for! Keep the practise up, and you will be very glad you bought this!

This was a useful book which encouraged my daughter to practice her scales more often! As well as the actual scales it had exercises to help her to memorize them.

Very useful for learning scales and arpeggios. Structured melodic exercises make the process more interesting.

Just received this and it arrived in fairly good second hand condition, no complaints. I have not had a chance to start practicing yet but if it is anything like the lower grades book it is money well spent.

She very enthusiastically took to it.The great thing about the book is that it goes through each scale and there are exercises to help students memorise the scale as well as the practical experience of playing them.I would recommend this book to any teacher, parent or student of music.
