Will this work on my stainless steel sink that was tarnished by a rust remover?

I don't believe so as this is more a scratch remover/polisher than color remover. There are products available  at Walmart that comes in a small yellow plastic bottle that removes rust and could help. They are found in the cleaning products aisle where the various dyes are kept. I used it to remove rust on my porcelain sink and did a wonderful job. There are 4 different bottles, each which removes different types of stains. They sell for about $2-3 each and are well worth it. There are other products that renews stainless sinks, but I haven't tried them, but may work just as well.

Will it remove paint?

Thanks for reaching out! Stainless Steel Rescue will not remove paint. It's a water-based sealer and enhancer for everyday use on stainless steel surfaces. It quickly cuts through grease, smudges, and sticky residue to clean, polish, and protect.

Question 3

I accidentally wiped my appliance with paper towel, it left some not a lot of micro scratch ony visible under a liight, will this buff it out?

Will this remove grout cleaner (zep) discoloration / staining?

Thanks for reaching out! This question was asked on our Scratch-B-Gone Homeowner Kit listing. The Stainless Steel Rescue spray is for maintaining and cleaning the surface only. Our Scratch-B-Gone Kits are more of what you're looking for. So that being said, yes, this is a common issue that people have with grout cleaner and our Scratch-B-Gone kits work great. You might be able to remove the spots without the scrub pads. Ultra Shine (comes in the kit) also works as a patina to restore color back to non-coated stainless steel. Try that first with a little Ultra Shine on the microfiber cloth. As always, please make sure you're working on non-coated stainless steel and always work in the grain direction to keep the grain straight and consistent with the rest of the surface area.
