El Avion Pimenton Dulce Ahumado - Smoked Mild Paprika, Red Tin, 75 g

I was looking for a good smoky paprika for use in goulashes and tomato based sauces. This brand delivered on its promise. I bought two tins and it turned out to be very cost-effective and delicious.

Smoky and rich, this will enrich your dishes with that unmistakable taste of Spain without the spicy, prickly heat.I am so chuffed to have discovered this on Amazon, and at what an affordable price. I don't regret buying this in bulk, for it will see me through a good few dinners. I've already used a good heaping, fat tablespoon but it's hardly made a dent. This is good economy, and a little goes so far, though you must restrain yourself: the aroma is intoxicating and temptation great. A dish only requires a few teaspoons at most.I'm not familiar with El Avion and it's impressed. The tins are kitsch, how can you resist? I've so far survived on a supermarket's premium brand of smoked paprika but in far less novel packaging; I'm not going back. It's far nicer to open you larder and see something so Spanish.This is an essential for Spanish food, and often my preferred choice in lieu of paprika, Spanish cuisine or not.

This is famous brand from Extremadura and it tastes fabulous.

It took a half hour to open (my husband eventually did it with pliers) but, that aside, this smoky deep flavour transforms all sorts of dishes, from chilli con carne to seafood.

Flavouring a goulash

Really like this. Love chorizo sausage in cooking, unffortanly most have nitrates in them so I make my own version without nitrates. This product is needed for authentic flavour. Will be buying more

This is one of those really useful products that comes in handy for adding flavour to lots of savoury dishes. Adds a a great twist to Mexican recipes like chilli and fajitas, and is fantastic added to potatoes fried up with onions as a side dish or for breakfast. I don't think I could live without this as a seasoning in my kitchen. It tastes rather like chorizo but without the fat. I buy the multipacks regularly as I think they are great value. The tins are also lovely if you can find a use for the empty ones.

This is my second purchase of this lovely paprika, I also buy the hot smoked one and use the two in combination to get the right combination of smokiness and heat. Buying it like this gives enough to last a long time and keeps the product fresher than one large container. I will keep buying this as long as it is available.
