Lovley antique colour. Just don't over spray
Used on door handles and wardrobe handles to go from brushed chome to gold. Lightly sanded handles before and the ones I did about 3 very light coats on and let dry in-between are the best. So far after 2 months has not work away or chipped off. Tried to use on some painted IKEA frames but didn't come out as well. I think this is my fault not sanding the frames enough though. On one door handle I over sprayed by accident and it changed the colour but only noticeable if your really looking at that spot

Just Misnamed
Of course this is not chrome plating in a rattle can. Chroming is a complex procedure. However, it is a brilliant silver with sparkling finish. As usual with Plastikote paints, it covers well and economically, and providing the surface is clean, seems unfussy about what it is used on. Good product.

Colour not as expected
This comes out very orange and glittery. If that's what you're looking for, great. Unfortunately I wasn't. It was almost £10 for 100ml and I bought it at the suggestion of my bathroom fitters who have used the brand before. The colour just isn't great at all

Great Product
Great product but I did go through many cans until I got the finish I was after. I used it to spray wooden spindles that hold in my spices on my spice rack.My only negative is with my own stupidity for not realising there is a little red plastic bit you have to remove under the spray cap first. Else it makes it near impossible to spray without extreme force. But that was my own fault for not reading and checking first and just wanting to get going.

Not like chrome at all but a nice finish anyway
Bought this to spray a cupboard door handle so it would match other chrome handles in the room but it does not look like chrome or the chrome finish on the spray can lid. It’s appearance is bright silver, more like satin aluminium. With my first attempt I primed the handle with plasticote gloss black and then applied the chrome spray but it reacted with the black and wrinkled in two places. It also did not cure fully overnight so I ended up stripping the handle and then I primed it using grey car primer. Applied 3 coats of primer and left it for 24 hours then applied three coats of the chrome allowing minimum 4 hours curing time between coats. Next day I applied the plasticote gloss spray varnish which on contact liquidised the chrome and thinned it out in some places so you can see some of the grey primer showing through, luckily it’s not bad enough to warrant starting again. Overall happy with the finished job but disappointed that the appearance is not like chrome

Perfect
Wanted some spray to do an old mirrorTo match our new bathroom, looks great and makes the mirror look more expensive. There was just enough in the can you cover This so if you are doing big surfaces you may need more than one but did the job and looks great

Does what it says
Did a top job covering some plastic helmets. Toy safe. Two light layers and they were done. Best with no sanding first as paint sheen highlights scratches. Pleased with silver colour. One can covered 3 helmets.
