Paris is not only dining and shopping
I much enjoyed the Pretty City Dublin, London, and New York books, which were well-rounded. But to me the Paris book falls short. It is 80 percent shopping and restaurants, and so does n't capture the soul of Paris, to which there is far more. The closest it comes to doing so is in the Paris through the seasons section, but that is only a few pages at the end. The photography is below par too, with endless pictures of similar looking storefronts, which made my eyes glaze over after a while. Am disappointed and weighing a return, which is rare for me.

No seasonal recommendations
Beautiful book but please note that this is the only one in the series which doesn't have specific recommendations by season - the "through the seasons" chapter is limited to photos.

This was a gift for a friend of mine who absolutely adores Paris and who is also a keen photographer and so it ticked all the boxes. It has been very well received.

Beautiful book, I bought it as a gift. I got both, London and Paris. :)

Having collected the other volumes in the ‘Pretty City’ series, I was really excited to add the Paris one to the shelf as soon as it was published. Well, it arrived today and it’s just as beautiful as the others and compliments them perfectly. So, who is this book for? If you have an interest in all things aesthetically beautiful, photography, cities and especially have an interest in architecture, then this book is for you. As a graphic designer, I’m interested in all the little decorative details in historical architecture and these books are some incredible eye-candy. They are perfect for if you want to just flick through and be transported to another, more inspiring place. I really hope that Edinburgh will be on the author’s list of places to explore in the future, as there’s a wealth of visual treasures to be found there!

Another wonderful book in the “Pretty City” series. Siobhan captures Paris perfectly and now I am desperate to go back!
