Great scooper and adds to food presentation.
I purchased this scooper to fill my mini loaf pan with bread dough, which works great! It is also helpful for serving rice or mashed potatoes as it makes for a good presentation. It makes me appear to be a better cook as my food looks nicer.

Best Ice Cream Scoop for Weight-loss!
I must eat ice cream every evening to keep my extreme GERD at bay. This was the best solution to guessing the amount being scooped out. My husband brings me the ice cream; some days, he'd be heavy-handed, and I'd get a cup instead of a ½ cup. There's no guessing with this scoop! I also like the bar that helps coax the ice cream gently from the scoop. It makes easy work of giving even portions. I use it for other foods like mashed potatoes and many other things that I only want a ½ cup of since I'm trying hard to lose weight. It's helping me so much! Yay!

Don’t buy this garbage
It’s trash. It broke the first time I used it on soft cookie dough.

Not amazing, but not awful either: just...needs something
It feels like it needs some work still. The edges feel safe enough (they're rounded off/ curved so as not to cut). I feel like I'm ALMOST going to though; callouses would definitely be building up if I was pulling ice cream with it all day or even a busy kid's party. The metal doesn't feel flimsy and the spring even has good action. That grating of the metal though is jarring if you're sensitive to it, and I wonder if that spring action is gonna wear overtime. Also, the reach is limiting. We had a quart of Edy's ice cream and when the scoop gets passed about the half way point, even with that space between the cylindrical part and the trigger it ends up scraping the top.I will say though that with enough space -- say one of those big "party size" plastic containers that are like 2-gallons in size -- you could seriously scoop ice cream fast. Jam it down, give it a slight twist, and the out will pop a large marshmallow sized dollop of ice cream when you pull the trigger. Leaves VERY minimal ice cream still back on the scoop.

Very good - only down side is the plastic handle feels a little cheap
Good mechanism that seems to be built well. I can't imagine it will fall apart like my previous one. The plastic on the handle feels a little cheap. Besides that, i'm happy
