Great item to buy for young children to learn about light. Be mindful these are made from real glass so if your child tends to drop things, you might want to hold off as the glass can shatter.

I actually expected the prism to work where I would see the rainbow colors coming through on the other side I even used or consulted manuals and videos to see exactly what angle the sun needs to be at and everything else, but never got any sort of refraction into separate colors. Also make sure you don’t drop them or bump them because they chip very easily
