I am not an expert in electronics at all. I am a diy guy who can do most things. I was going to leave 4 stars for having no instructions but bumped it back to 5 after I accidentally dropped my new lcd screen off my kitchen table and onto tile floor. (Negligence on my part) I thought for sure the screen would have been damaged but it worked fine! Install was easy enough to figure out without instructions. Works great!

You can even find a 3d printer file online for a frame to get everything nice and neat!

The screen installation is a solderless one, this is basically plug and play. The touch sensor for the brightness was a little tricky to get tucked in but I got it eventually.I used the original glass due to the aftermarket one included having a matte finish that is easy to scrape off with your finger nails.In the end the result was fairly good, but there is a decent amount of light leak from the backlight on the sides of the screen.This may have been hidden if i used the replacement glass since the cutout for the lcd appears a bit smaller than the original.Overall it's a easy mod and works well, just wish it wasn't smaller.

Instructions aren’t complete but it works great if you can figure it out. There’s a walk through in another review, some instructions in the product photos, and I used some YouTube videos plus some guess work but I figured it out without too much trouble. It’s even brighter than the game boy advance sd I’m really happy with the results.

Bought this four months ago and from the get go it was finicky. It now has completely died. Not worth the money. Buy something nicer.Update:Heard from Company and they agreed to send a replacement screen. Not the whole kit. Hoping the screen replacement will solve my problem. Just waiting for it as it’s being shipped from China. Will update once it arrives.
