Does exactly what it says on the tin works wonderfully would recommend. However, just remember this only sent a 1080p signal, so if you wanted to send a 4K signal through it, you would need to use a different one, however for my use I only needed it to send 1080p so the budget price worked.

Ideal. I wanted to send the output of a sky box from one room to another. We have an old coax cable that goes from room to room. Our new sky box only had an hdmi output so I got one converter box that converts hdmi to Sdi, and another box that converts Sdi to hdmi. The connectors on the boxes are bnc, so I bought two little adapters that go from bnc to aerial coax connectors. That let me connect the boxes to the existing coax cable that runs around the house. Plug in the hdmi to Sdi converter at the sky box. And the Sdi to hdmi converter in the other room. Works great. Ideal when we want to watch tv in the other room and no need to spend more each month with sky on their multi room option which is overkill for what we needed.

For a cheap under 50GBP SDI to HDMI converter this is an acceptable product to turn a television or monitor into a field monitor or to record SDI feeds with a HDMI capture card. (Please do note this will not carry all standard SDI metadata to the HDMI signal format) As compared in the photos it's only slightly bigger than the well-known black magic bi-directional converters which are pretty much in everyone's kit bag these days. As this is a digital in digital out conversion system generally not much can go wrong but so far I haven't managed to kill it with ESD from hot plugging, it's worked in both PAL 576i25 and 1080p50 just fine. The trip it uses is to the required level of specs for SD SDI in HD SDI.

This product does not work- fuzzy or blank screen when converting from. Sdi to hdmi. Black magic rip off , Bought to test and result is a no. Waste of time
