First let me say, I have installed a LOT of Cameras. So I have a REALLY GOOD OPINION OF WHAT WORKS, WHAT'S EASY, AND HOW DIFFICULT TO PREPARE.In the past I first used ARLO. At that time Arlo was great for it's technology. BUT it's BATTERY LIFE has Destroyed my opinion of IT! I EVEN bought the rechargeable units trying to save money. I spent LOTS of time and money on those. Besides the Monthly Fees.Then I have BLINK Cameras. I actually STILL use the them and have slowly upgraded each camera over time to the latest. YET I'm STILL dealing with Batteries once again. THIS is all wireless cameras which is wonderful. As well as Night Vision.NOW... THIS CAMERA DID IT ALL NOW!!! Right out of the gate!! I didn't have to wait for years for the upgrades to get to this point! The Picture QUALITY IS OUTSTANDING!! LIKE TV PERFECTION QUALITY. You ALSO get Night vision as well and it's NOT in Black and White! Color! It's Upgraded. You already start off with like I think 8g of storage per camera! I'm always watching and deleting is I didn't want it or downloading if I want it. So this way I don't clog up the gigabytes. Oooh I'm slowly buying more cameras one by one to add bc my hubby LOVES LOVES THESE BETTER than ALL the others we've had AND each camera I can name where I place it PLUS give it it's OWN RING alert notification!! I didn't bother buying a base station bc they RUN OFF OF SOLAR ENERGY!! So when I got them out of the package the first thing I did was connect them by USB C LINK and charged then fully. Then I downloaded the app. I wanted all of the cameras on my cell phone which is an Android. I'm sure Apple works as well. Then I scanned the code in each camera after each charged. Then I named them. I placed them in the property and went to my dashboard and changed my settings. Decided what I wanted. Strick viewing, listening volume, crop out trees from wind blowing, etc. The performance is above and beyond! You'll get immediate notifications on your phone right when something happens. Even if you have a vacation home and something happens you'll know! You can't beat this SYSTEM!!

What I liked about this camera that it was easy to connect to my Wi-Fi. However, I didn't like the fact that it didn't have a light on the camera. Also, I didn't like the fact that I could not maintain constant recording during motion.

Works great

I replaced a Eufy 2C rechargeable camera with this one. It has direct sunlight at least 6h a day, which has allowed the battery to charge long enough and still keep at 95+ percent all the time. No more need to set "working mode" to "Optimal battery life" in an effort to extend time between charges but risking missing recording something important. I can confidently set longer duration recordings without worrying about the battery drain. No more reaching out the window (I attach battery powered cameras close to a window) to awkwardly try and get a usb cable attached, nor risking dropping the camera two stories if I want to remove it from the base to bring it inside to charge.

This cameras have a good range. The camera doesn’t move so you can look around but it has a good field of view. I have several up around the property now. You can set the levels of alerts you want. I would prefer the mount itself to be a bit more robust. It’s not very heavy duty at all. The camera is not heavy though. And it’d be pretty simple to rig a different mount I suppose if needs be.

Although I'm a fan of Eufy's local storage and video quality, this camera was a big disappointment. I mounted it outside for about four months and it did its job well over that time. Its battery ran down after about three months and I brought it in after four to recharge it. However, the camera could not be charged - I tried 4 different USB-C cable and charger combinations. I contacted Anker for support and found that the warranty expires after 3 months and they wouldn't take it back, and now it's a brick.So granted this thing had to live through a Boston winter, but I had an earlier Eufy camera that did so with no problems (and Boston winters are mild to my Michigan-native sensibilities). So I'd caution anyone in a similar situation to consider alternatives.Anger offered me a 20% discount on future purchase, but I don't think that's enough to move the needle for me in the future.
