had a look but not used yet everything looks ok apart from the ingot mould it is very small .will try it when i have time to get gas n stuff sorted

Surprisingly good little furnace. I found through trial and error that the lid is really only used for retaining heat when the burner is off. When the lid and burner are both on it pants terrifyingly. To get the crucible red hot the lid needs to be off. I'm sure everyone else knows this but it took me a while.It's all solidly made and connections are standard so connecting UK propane cylinder is fine. Instruction on set up are fine, but there are no real operating instructions so a few minutes on youtube are recommended.

Came damaged got no response,Apart from damage tongues are rubbish,Not fit for purpose,All in all will never purchase anything again from this company

Good product. Unfortunately only received a very small ingot mould instead the 1 kg mould. Tried to contact but didn't get anywhere Unfortunately..

This was something we wanted for a quick home project where we wanted to recycle aluminium. It works but it shows how it was made to a budget.The accessories are mostly OK but the tongs for removing the crucible itself are a strange design that doesn't securely grasp the crucible. That is the biggest offence, so a little metal work in the shed was required to make a better set of tongs. There is no regulation on the heat. There is nominally a air vent on the gas inlet to control the gas / air ratio and so the burn but it really is very crude so it is pretty much an on/off choice.This is one of those cases of you get what you pay for. It works, but with no frills, and limited control. Would I recommend it? Yes but only for cases where you want to try and learn before moving to something better.

Good little "beginner" set with a 6kg crucible. Includes a hardwearing set of lifting tongs too. It assumes that you have your own set of pouring tongs.It arrives with a very good set of gloves. A practical and well thought out set which is ideal for someone still learning the arts of metal work, or for a hobbyist who requires an additional furnace kit with all the extras.4 stars

This set is very easily to assemble and get ready to use. My brother melted some glass which I broke before just to see how it works.I tought it will melt faster but it took around 20 minutes for 100 grams of glass but I think that was something wrong with the quality of the glass. .Anyway the kit is good it worked for me. Crucible resisted well but furnace looks too thin but I will see in future how it will be.
