Love this camping tool!This little shovel is perfect for my needs (which was, ahem, for a recent "dry" camping experience where the campground was open but water/toilets/garbage were closed). The shovel is larger than a hand trowel, but considerably smaller than a regular shovel. I liked that I could use it as a combination pickax or shovel. I liked how easily is folds/unfolds. The stowing case is sturdy and good for multiple uses. I used it primarily in loamy forest soil, which it easily penetrated. The little shovel would be overwhelmed by hard clay soils, rocky ground, or hardpan. The shovel is sturdy enough for its intended use. The blade has not been sharpened, so it really cannot cut through roots, despite the saw-like side. I suppose one could sharpen the blade, the steel seems thick enough.Anyway, I'm happy with my purchase.

This is honestly a really decent little shovel - I use it when I'm hiking and see a little gem that would look nice in my garden - and, it's perfect for the purpose..... Quality is very acceptable..... Storage pouch is very handy!! Yes, you can feel confident to purchase this - I'm glad I have it.

Perfect size and strong enough for hard digs

I'm impressed. This shovel is perfect for a back pack. Weight is not an issue nor is size. Mind you these are not made for construction but in the field perfect for fire pit (small one), cat hole etc. Got enough handle to make the task a bit easier than with a trowel type shovel. It locks up tight, good steel, the pouch is a bit questionable. Not sure how well it will hold up. Overall i am very pleased. The price was great.

Not the best build qaulity a little pricey for what it is. Works is foldable, not very heavy. Fits in case works
