Perfect!!
Fits perfectly. Although I still had the original screw, I used the one supplied with the chuck. All works great together. Steel chuck, not the plastic ones. Great fit & operation. Very pleased. Solid recommendation!!

Worked great on my Makita
I found this worked great and the drills no longer slip in the chuck. Worth the upgrade.

Fits my Makita cordless drill perfectly.
The chuck is great. The hard part is getting the old chuck off. You Tube videos all suggest removing the left handed screw, then chucking up an Allen key and hitting it with a hammer or mallet to shock the old chuck to loosen. Note, the old chuck has a right hand thread so release is counter clockwise. I tried that for 2 days to no avail. I finally realized that torque was the solution so I cut the L end off the Allen key and chucked it in a hammer drill set to reverse. I locked the Makita firmly to my bench and slipped the hammer drill a few times. The makita chuck came right off. Your mileage may vary, but hitting things rarely makes them better.

Major upgrade.
My Makita drill chuck had gotten so bad that I was thinking about buying a new drill. I couldn’t tighten it enough to keep bits from slipping and there was quite a bit of wobble. I decided to give this replacement a try and I’m really glad I did. It’s made out of steel instead of plastic and is much easier to tighten and feels more solid.I had a problem removing the right hand thread slotted screw from the old chuck. I ended up having to drill it out. The replacement comes with a much better Phillips head screw.
