Whoever designed this is a genius. Must have makes cleaning your wood stove/ fireplace fun!
Watch the video on this so had to try and it works folks! As a female I had to clean a chimney and being frugal I wanted to do it myself. Purchase this and went in through the pipe in the house and just kept adding extensions using the drill to clean the chimney. The clean out showed just how well this worked and I have to say I was impressed. The quality of this material is excellent even as it had to go through a curve. I was concerned the fiberglass extensions would break, never happened as these extensions bend significantly! Once it was cleaned, very easy to remove. Just unscrewing each extension as you pulled it back out. Came with safety glasses, plastic and storage bag. Instructions were clear and concise and so easy to follow.

Convenient, easy to use, and does a great job.
The tool worked flawlessly. See the before and after pictures. Sure beats climbing on the roof, removing the stack cap and dealing with an unwieldy cleaning pole while 30 ft off the ground. With this product you can clean from the inside and work your up. The product was durable and easy to handle. No issues with the rods breaking or coming apart. I think the key is running the drill slowly so as not to put too much stress on the connections or the cleaning head. Doing so also contains the mess while still doing a thorough job of cleaning.

Simple, effective, easy to set up and put away.
Handy little tool that I've been using for a couple years. Setup is brain-dead simple and quick. There are enough rod segments to climb the entire length of my chimney nearly twice over. The rods are sturdy enough to get to the top of any chimney no matter its height, and flexible enough to manipulate the brush easily even when fully extended. I find that this brush gets rid of most of last year's buildup after about 15 minutes of use. After use everything collapses into a small bag that I put away for the rest of the year. One 15 minute cleaning session a year is all I need with this thing. But make sure you have a shop vac at the ready to suck up the dust this thing generates.

May become disconnected.
I used this to clean out a six inch diameter stainless steel liner in my chimney . The rods did bend through one 90 deg. turn and it did do a really good job of cleaning it out, however the rods did disconnect twice but I was able to grab an end and pull them out. I wrapped duct tape over the push button connectors being careful not to exert pressure on the push buttons but still one came apart possibly because the rods "thrashed" around in the liner despite me only giving short bursts on my drill. I think more duct tape is the answer to cushion the push buttons. My sweep charges $220.00 to clean my chimney so it was a considerable saving. My tip? It is a very dirty job. I tied a canvas bag over the chimney thimble and cut a hole in the bag to feed the rods through but keep the soot back ! I think it is a good product and does a good job , as soon as I find a foolproof way of keeping the rods together it will warrant 5 stars.

It Works and it did not break even with My abuse. Very flexible.
It did well. I have a ~12 inch flu with a fireplace insert stove so the chimney opens up pretty wide at the bottom with regular old red brick exposed everywhere. No the best of chiney configurations for sure and it would be best to install a 6-8 pipe the whole length, no doubt. But for no this is what I have and the inside of the wide area get cover quickly with thick fizzy soot and it is very hard to reach normally. So the real meat of my comments is that this drill brush really slaps around in the tight spots in a very random manner and did well to knock off ALL the lose soot. I created a very positive ventilation with a fan on the top of the chimney. Almost all the soot vented out the chimney and in the end a spic and span clean chimney which took me me half the time to clean this year.

Works Great, Saves Money (and maybe your house)
I have a very tall chimney and have paid a chimney sweep close to $150 each year to clean it. The latest sweep had one of these brushes and did it from inside rather than on the roof. I realized I could do it myself and purchased this kit. It paid for itself the first use. If you heat with wood you know how important it is to keep your chimney clean to avoid fires. This kit allows you to sweep your own chimney from inside (if your stove setup allows it). The way I use it is to attach two rods to the brush and push it up the chimney then attach another rod push it up and so on until I reach the top of the chimney. I then attach the rod to my cordless drill and start the cleaning by moving it up and down until no more creosote is falling down. I then take off the rod and attach the drill to the next one and repeat until I have swept the entire chimney from the top down. I really works well. The first time I used the kit it took my about 45 minutes beginning to end. I can now sweep the chimney in 30 minutes or less, saving $150 each time.
